EU+US Level 70 DPS Tier List

I'm trying to create a dps tier list for level 70 raiding. The numbers are single target dps in BiS with full consumables and BL over a typical BT fight (3-5 minutes).

Why?

Because it's the only number that matters when ranking dps! Nobody cares how much your bladestorm does on trash.

However, I haven't had the chance to see every single dps spec in action on a fully geared charater - hence all the question marks. That's why I'm creating this thread to draw from the experiences of other 70 twinks out there.

(?) means I'm more or less sure about the number but would like some confirmation.
(??) means I'm pretty much just guessing or extrapolating heavily.

I'm going to tag a few people that have been part of theorycrafting threads on the subject before. But that doesn't mean I don't want your input if you aren't tagged - all help is appreciated!

Wow, SV over BM/MM, that one actually surprises me. To be fair I haven't played SV since Legion so I don't have the firmest of grasp over which spec is top at 70 (for Hunters I mean).

I also do agree with this list. Although I believe affliction and feral can both pull bigger numbers than that. I'll do some tests to back up my claims first though. Good list

in simcraft- destro<afflic<demo by pretty huge gaps. (i was just in the process of finishing up my lock this week to test this)

edit: ive seen mango's outlaw hit a 16k opener on the second boss in bt. (so id confirm they can hold 10k, possibly 11)
hunter numbers look right except mm is about 7.5k-8k, and bm is 8-9k surv is 9.5-10.5k

dreams got the hunter numbers pretty much all spot on. surv is super strong atm.

I was pulling around 30k dps on my 73 destro(ex70 twink) on training dummies. Would be keen to see @70 what their dps is like.

I'm not interested in burst numbers, but rather consistent and sustainable DPS over a long period of time. If you did pull 30k over a longer period of time you probably had havoc on the 60 dummy.

Awesome. Always assumed DKs kinda sucked in legion because of our very well geared DK performing horribly. Had a suspicion that he just sucks but good to have it confirmed. I'm not surprised that ret hits 10k as well tbh. I've only tested it in pretty much full heirlooms and no consumables but just from those tests I had a feeling they'd be great if fully geared.

Nope I haven't seen destro pull 10k (that's what the two question marks mean) I've guessed/extrapolated that number from seeing a destro with quite a lot of missing gear and enchants pull 8,5k consistently.

I didn't place demo yet because someone from my guild said he'd test it. Problem was he was missing insane amounts of stats and gear, so the tests were kind of useless. Do you have any idea where to place demo?

Not that I think you're wrong here, but in general I'd be careful with trying to extrapolate sustained dps from just seeing the burst. The obvious example is frost mages bursting ~60k DPS in the first 10 seconds but then averaging out to more like 12-14k over a long fight.

as for danny, he's logged out in unholy atm, with an aweful pve spec setup... i assume he was pvping. tell him to copy my dk and try again (no ego)

for unholy, i found 0 setups that could sim over 4.8k while my frost set was almost at 5.6k
edit- my ret sims at 5.8k and surv sims at 7.7k


also your shadow priest number has me surprised. i havent found a good setup for mine yet.

as for extrapolating based on burst, youre right. i shouldnt make assumtions like that, especially since outlaw is pure rng.

edit: i am actually 90% sure that evrything listed on low tier has a way to pull 8k+ but we just havent found it yet as its either a specific gear/gem combo or a combination of stats and speccing a certain way.

He has gotten a lot of upgrades since pulling 8,5k consistently during one of our guild sunwell runs - almost BiS now. I haven't seen his destro damage since though.

Danny doesn't really play anymore and we have no other active dps DKs. Just Fx playing DK tank sometimes.

not bad. my lock is only missing the chest and rep gems as far as i know. should be easy to replicate then. although im not a fan of eradication. makes the rotation pretty tight.

bummer about the dks, frost is fun. is methodical and controlled but also pretty fast.

Looking at this list i have to say it looks about right and can't dispute any of it lol. Good Job! I main feral and seeing my class last doesn't hurt my feelings at all cause its honestly true!

I remember Ferals with Mongoose at 80 were ridiculous, but only for those that could truly play them. The only ones that could beat them were Rets in ICC. However, finding a Player that understood Ferals well enough to hit those numbers was few and far between.

My burst was well over 30k. I said 30k because that was my average dps, I'm not stupid. That was with 0 havoc
My char is 74 so I hit hard on the 70 dummy

Have you tried Arcane? Someone was 2shotting my yesterday.

Openworld damage is broken for every spec in the game. All duels are over in 2-5 globals. Also this is a PvE thread - when I'm talking about burst I'm not talking about who can kill a player fastest, I'm talking about what can do the most damage during the first maybe 10 seconds of a fight. Arcane doesn't come close to frost, neither does anything else like I said.
