I'll tell you right now, if dont do the jumps, you probably aren't premading. This is definitely an interesting perspective the community has taken. I'd like to see the opinion of the current guild leaders on jumps in premades.

ToT, tot walls and gy jumps are all easily do-able.It seems like we can boil the majority of this debate down one question.
In a premade match, where's the line between L2P and banned jumps? Is there one?

It's just upsetting, so I suppose I am complaining. Or maybe just venting, either way I had gotten excited over an authentic classic experience and time and time again its been obvious that's not going to happen. Luckily what was also drilled in on my three days back is that the rules are sure topsy-turvy so maybe some individual guilds will agree to allow them in premade content. Pugging for the most part I'm fine wth giving up jumps in, though it will simplify the kiting routes quite a bit.
Blizzards would ban people but GMs had to witness it and they usually took awhile to respond to the ticket...but if they witnessed it, flag would drop and perma ban.Trust me when I say that back in the day some of the more obvious exploits were reported and Blizzard only did something about it rarely, if ever. One had no choice but to learn the jumps, or put someone in position to regrab when the efc was in an unreachable spot just to bait him down. Now that the microscope is on Classic as the definitive World of Warcraft experience, it seems there is more attention being paid to these reports. I doubt they will fix the terrain legitimately (their GY move down etc in later expansions was a total failure imo) but they can react to tickets when people are obviously exploiting.
I do agree that certain spots like top of tunnel and stumps are more about Super Mario skills than anything else. Any class and race can do them.

I saw it coming when there was a 5man blood dk team in 5v5 rated, and they stayed in the top 10 for a huge portion of the xpac.blizzard really didn't have the time or patience to try and govern twinkers back then. They'd really only act if they got a bunch of reports on one person that was using out of bounce or portal glitches to extend games indefinitely. I genuinely feel that blizzard still wouldn't care but with the ease of reporting now it makes it pop up on their radar more frequently. Everyone's all worried about equality this and that, but real game developers will spend decades balancing a game and be unsuccessful. The end result is shit like retail where every class can do everything as well(more or less) as every other class.
All this just because of a few well timed button mashes that can be put into a macro and programmed into a mouse/keyboard.

Such a macro is way more bannable than any jump.
Dunno how others feel.. and kind of don't care... pets can't path there and I've been in a couple games that were prolonged upwards of 20 minutes because of that jump... I'd say it's much more of an obvious exploit than the others.Curious, is on top of the logs on the horde roof considered okay? I have not ran across that one before until today.
