    "Hey there, Healbotz!

We've been receiving numerous reports regarding some "Safe Spotting" actions in WSG!

In case you're unaware. "Safe Spotting" is when you exploit certain locations in game to attack others while remaining unattackable. This also means aggravating guards or pets and then evade bugging them by reaching these unable to hit locations.

These types of actions are actually pretty detrimental to our community and due to the amounts of the reports we're asking that you refrain from "Safe Spotting" in the future. If more reports of this type are received we may take harsher actions upto and and including and including account suspension.

We thank you for your cooperation with this!

    Have a great day!

safe-spotting when there are no guards to exploit? that doesn't make any sense. Any tot jump etc can be replicated by other players with varying degrees of simplicity depending on class/race

this is a practice-based skill and ultimately does not protect one from attack.

Can a hunter's pet get to someone who is on top of a tunnel? If not, pretty sure that would be considered safe-spotting.

You know exactly what you were doing, you know exactly why you were reported.
Just stop, or take an account vacation, it's completely up to you.

My opinion has always been the same in regards to this.
One thing is to utilize the different spots (like fence jumping etc) every now and then to brag or piss a fellow twink off.
But it's a lot different to safe-spot throughout an entire wsg match (especially in classic without timer) in order to stall the game. It creates a toxic community and makes twinking even more infamous than it already is..

The match before this mail was received I only did the stump jump in the middle of mid, which in my opinion does not even fall under "Safe spot" because it is in full LoS of everything around it and a very simple jump to do. No ToT, GY, or even fence jumps were used.

For some context I have not used any of the off map, or unreachable jumps since the launch of bgs.. nor do I plan on it.

I have never once use a fence jump mechanic to prolong a match.

the problem with middle of map compared to TOT or GY is the fact that both of those are easily accessible by walking the long way around and they can attack you, middle of map you may be in LoS of everything, and it may be easy, but that doesnt change the fact that the only way for melee to hit you is by doing the jump

The jumps aren't even that hard and they're very counterable just by trapping. You must have been doing something worse previously imo.

I know I’m in the unpopular minority, but I think Tot should not be allowed. As a vanilla/BC non private server twink, nobody uses any of these back in the days or even knew about them. It’s against the spirit of vanilla and pretty toxic to the new players and non elitists. I’ve only recently started using tot jumps because were facing teams who use it. Either way, I don’t care what happens if blizzard says all’s fair then alright. If blizzard says fuck off with that shit, I applaud them. I think they need to come out with a clear stance.

    Migos,
I see where you are coming from with this response but I also played vanilla/tbc and a considerable amount of these jumps were in fact still in the game. However, their popularity must have varied between battlegroups.
