i feel so bad for you and the other involved bigpappa. I went through the same ordeal with their joke of "customer service" 6 months ago or so. i wrote long letters explaining everything and begging for any decent response only to get the very same responses you have received. luckily for me it was only a 4 day ban but i still hate blizzard for their joke of customer support and would not be paying for and playing now if it wasn't for my son and a good group of friends from all over the world that i have played with for almost twenty years
 
“Decision made by the moderation team” that does not sound like this is an accident. And given their quick response times it looks like they’ve already notated your account to Auto deny any appeal. Same as me.

I am not big on boosting and have never had an endgame toon. I just hope blizz war on boosting doesn’t impact my own speed runs farming gear

I have the same exact response from a ban 6 months ago. They haven't looked at anything and just generate a canned response. I begged them repeatedly to have the decency to tell me what it was i was banned for only to get the same crap they sent bigpappa
 
Yeah the ticket I created was a huge, thought out one with everything included properly. Polite, informative, explaining I hadn't used any 3rd party software of hacks etc.

Didn't help one bit. A friend advised me to send it to payment department to get a quicker response, actually worked, but still same outcome.

What are the chances of me going again, but instead using a completely new battle net, but still boosting a main battle net character. You think my main account battle net would still be in risk of ban?

Is it worth just having a level 20 trial doing the boosting instead and avoiding the xp off exploiting altogether? I still want to twink, and level up characters through timewalking without having to play with randomers. I have a project / goal of having a 70 on every realm, and this made it way more fun.

You're right, because I was having fun on wow again and I still have the same goals. I'm just trying to find a way of doing it "legally" I guess with less risk. I guess there isnt though?
 
I have to admit, I don't understand boosting. Just que up. I think I went from 60-70 in like thirty minutes tonight.

No idea why anyone would risk an account to do it in like 15 minutes instead. What are you doing where that time difference is actually important?

Thats fair enough, but even you could receive a ban by the looks of things, even if you are just using it to farm badges. I've got plenty of characters too but I have new bigger goals now. I want access to every black market auction house and the only way to do that is having a level 70 character on each realm(group). Was hoping to get a ZG tiger, something I've wanted since vanilla and it very rarely pops up on BMAH but could be any realm.

Anyway I guess all I'm saying is, seems like its risky no matter what you're using a twink for right now, if blizzard think the level 20s are fine by not abusing the xp debuff thing, then I'd be up for doing that instead

I've only ran TW like 3x this week.
Partially because I want clarity around these bans before I start queuing with a ton of randoms.
But mainly because the loot this week sucks.

If that's the goal (sounds like a big one, good luck) 20s MIGHT be the way to go

I'm not sure what's technically the fastest clear at 20 but I know it's not warrior. Fury is pretty solid but lifesteal isn't as beneficially scaled.

If I had to venture a guess, it's druid.

Or, and hear me out here, put in the time to make one of those 70s a solid speed clear twink. 70 is one of the "scaling is really good here" levels and I just got my surv hunter to 70 tonight and she's still in level 60 gear and is a beast. I can't imagine what a decently twinked 70 would do.
 
I think we are very fortunate Boats. I have queued very little in the last week and am counting my blessings. i can't even imagine losing an account that has been here since vanilla, with 42k achievement points, almost all the mounts, pets etc. over some stupid little in game exploit that is meaningless in the grand scheme.
I still believe this was a bot ban wave because that is pretty much the only thing that is an instant permaban. Exploits like the ones everyone are talking about have always been a hand slap ban, then aa bigger ban and then bigger.
Supposedly these were caught by their warden program and not by player reports but i have my doubts and wonder what us twinks could possibly be doing to trigger warden.
 
I've done level 20s for a long time, though most of my experience is from when WoD dungeon spamming was the meta; and here's my experience with the classes:

Survival Hunter and Resto Shaman have the highest damage output.
Druid and DK tanks can do mass pulling pretty easily and stay alive.
Warrior, Paladin, Monk, and DH tanks are also powerful; but I feel they're a step or two down.
Demon Warlock is kind of fun, you can do a mass pull and then send your felguard in to AoE everything down.
Priest and Evoker is okay
Mages and Rogues are weak, would not recommend.
 
i would second Chops suggestion on twinking one your 70's, with the way scaling is now they can be crazy. Not like an 11 but plenty strong
 
Sounds like a plan. New account, pay subscription but not get TWW, so it maxes to 70 right? Any class recommendations for 70? Need to check these forums to see if theres any information I can gather
