Occasionally I see people complaining about Hunters, Paladins, and Druids too much. I've been personally playing a Hunter and feel like now I'm playing the overpowered class with no skill.
First, here's the Hunter I play: Venem @ Hyjal - Community - World of Warcraft
Second, I want to explain why I chose Hunter.
1. I like soloing things, especially dungeons. As a Hunter, I have a pet to tank with that has several tank skills and I can heal it personally with Mend Pet.
2. I like not being forced to sit still to attack. Hunters can move with all of their attacks in this bracket (I play Survival so no Aimed Shot).
3. I play on a server that isn't a hotspot for f2p characters. Therefore, I mostly pug battlegrounds and dungeons. When I'm not doing either of those, I like to wander around alone throughout the continents and grab new Flight Paths. Having a pet there makes it easier/less lonely while at the same time not holding me back while a group member would possibly need to stop for any reason or need to catch up to me.
If you're wondering why I play alone on a different server than the ones usually mentioned here, I want my character to have a chance at getting that AGM trinket, and I have no problem doing pugs. If that trinket is no longer BiS, then I wouldn't mind playing on a more populated f2p server like AP.
Basically, what I'm asking is if Hunters are that much of an annoyance in the f2p bracket. If they are, I'm not against rolling a Shaman who can heal himself and use lightning bolt and shock spells on the move while keeping his mana up with water shield. Elemental sounds like a spec that can work just as well as a Hunter in terms of the above 3 reasons I play as one, with their extra armor, shield usage, casting while on the move, and a heal and cleanse/purge I can use in pugs to increase how useful I can be. And If I ever don't want to dps, I can always switch to resto which sounds like a spec I can use to travel across the continents as without dying too much. I don't know too much about Shamans though, so some insight would be nice.
I like playing Horde side, that won't change, but should I switch to not being an overplayed and apparently overpowered class and try out Shaman or stick to being a Hunter? Honestly, if Shamans can play just as good as Hunters in terms of soloing dungeons and stuff and still heal others and help the team survive more, my gaming experience will not change so I am completely okay with doing it (in fact, it might enhance my gaming experience, who knows). I just want to hear the opinions of the other people I play with in this bracket.
