Hillary banning guns?

As someone who grew up in the deep South of the United States, I've been around guns all my life. The majority of people where I grew up understand what a gun can do, we grew up using them for everyday tasks. Ever tried to talk politely to a Bobcat, and make it leave your livestock alone? Neither have I, we shot the fucker. Could we have scared it off instead? Yeah, but that's just a temporary solution.

Are guns dangerous? Fuck yeah. A small child can kill an adult using a handgun. Guns are easily accessible in many parts of the U.S, and any idiot can operate them with minimal understanding of how it works. I'd love for that to change. The fact one of my former neighbors had over 80 firearms in her possession is terrifying.

Meh, I saw the news article and thought it was an interesting conversation piece for this site.

I grew up in Tennessee around guns pretty much every day. We went shooting at the range as a family every weekend.

Guns are an important American right - they have a purpose in our lives; self defense, recreation, commerce.

But certain organizations are trying to ignore the gigantic risks and necessary precautions associated with guns because they can make money off of them.

Shameful.

I moved out of my small hometown in South Mississippi, to the state capital. It's literally mind boggling how many people I've met up here who've never handled a gun. Many of them have never even seen one, aside from in stores.

Funny how nobody is crying for bows or other projectile based weapons to be banned. A composite bow can, and will, drop an adult deer midstride.

But nah fam, let's scream at Billy Joe for his .22 that's been in his family for 50 years, cause that gun makes him a mass murderer.

Didn't 2 people blow up the Boston Marathon with a pressure cooker and some nails? You can't do anything to stop this, beside mental health. Banning a few guns that you think are scary isn't going to make a difference. A gun is a gun, they all do the same thing.

Ban guns, too many dumb people.

Smart people don't need guns.

For Example, Walter White.

What about real people that don't use guns though? Like, Batman for example. You got a cougar attacking your livestock? Use kung fu instead of a gun ya big pussy

Oh no don't you dare talk about Batman.

The list is ENDLESS.

He can use blades.

Intimidate the enemy with his mighty wings. (how come he didn't have a goblin glider? weird)

Throw a smoke bomb, and knock out the loser.

Paralyze or poison the person then coax info outta them.

Send in robin as bait and then emerge after the enemy is tired out. (No one likes robin)

You know I'm quite surprised in everyone's ignorance in the title. The name is clearly spelled 'hell' and yet your all going on about other stuff. Fix it, cuz no ones finger mistakes an i for an e

As long as you realize that this is not even in the slightest bit true.

Have a nice day!

More Americans died in Chicago than in Afghanistan. That is a fact.

While we are at it we should ban all the types of knifes that have killed people. How about cars too? I believe cars kill more people than guns. Tobacco products have done their far share of "killing". Let's ban them...
Alcohol... Let's ban that. I think we tried that once before.

Moral of the story? Law abiding citizens don't shoot people maliciously. No gun law will keep someone from shooting someone else.

I find myself agreeing with Ally more as I get older. Strange how that works.

It is factually correct, but his statement is untrue. Meaning that it is false, in so far as the logic is wrong.

He is implying that guns cannot be the problem if Chicago, which he wrongly purports as having the strictest gun control laws in the nation. That is not true, nor is it particularly relevant. Regardless of whether or not Chicago has strict gun laws, the argument for regulation of firearms has nothing to do with crime rates in Chicago. There is no logical link between those two phenomenon.

You try to come across as an intelligent and mature person, Ally, but the more you post on these forums the more I truly begin to doubt that. You use baity, troll tactics rather than logic and reason. I used to think it was because you were simply a troll, but now I'm unsure if you're capable of higher thought. I'll leave you to your echo box :)

Would you like some Aloe Vera?

Cause you just got burned!
