Growing and protecting and growing the 20-24 bracket

lol critfailster and his sidekick crapias are the worst players ever.
the only reason this bracket is alive is because of good players like duo

Yeah i actually had fun in that game kinda sorta, especially with the tickle emotes along with the 2 shot from badger, the only thing i can't understand is why do you guys even play at this level when you faceroll ever single game, you guys would probably have more success premading in the 70 bracket along with more of a challenge i guess.

In Whirlwind in the 10-19 bracket we had a mutual respect that made playing something you ran home to. You loved finding new players and seeing players you knew. We fought hard and regardless of the outcome we had fun. If it was an uneven match that was not contestable we would dance and go off in corners and duel. We premaded multiple times weekly and were forced to come up with new tactics because the same old tricks stop working. I want that again...

sounds like that was back in the good ole days of hour long wsg =D Vindi was a lot like that, too. Now the Ruin/Cyclone attitude has spread since the merge

Yeah, probably the wrong bracket then. Before I ever played 24s I was pretty active in 19s. During my time in xp off 19s, on good days que times ran anywhere from 7-20 minutes, some days not at all. When it occurred to me that f2p accounts would be in the xp off 20-24 bracket, I assumed that que times would be very short because of this, so I leveled my half ass geared 19 druid to 24 and was pleasantly surprised. But in literally 100s of 20-24 games, I've probably had about 20 or so really good games. Most of these being when I qued solo and was with a group of f2ps, against another group of good f2ps. I've done a few synced ques against other guilds which were actually pretty boring to say the least. But in my opinion this bracket and the 70 bracket are the only real viable options to play, due to que times. But in my experience, 95% of the games in this bracket are going to be very one sided.

Wrong bracket...lol. No, this is the right bracket for all of the reasons I already stated in this topic. Maybe you forget or were not there to begin with. The ratio of easy/quick games to challenging is about the same. We are having great fun and we are only at the beginning. Other like minded players are already coming together and proactively addressing the issues we face. 70's takes too long to create and lacks the activity level required.

19s are dead toons walking. They have lost the round the clock activity a long way back and now are seeing their queue times increasing for both factions. What happened?

As the 19s shifted to Ruin to respond to Cataclysm and the activity nuke that turning xp off was, the activity in the community was greatly reduced. The acidic, epeen variety of twinks concentrated impact on that already reduced activity was detrimental to the community. Great people and whole guilds full of their friends stopped playing 19s leaving only the very determined and those whose egos got a needed boost from being notorious in a greatly reduced community. As those last hold outs gave/give up the bracket is more acidic than ever. Successfully introducing new players to the 19s impossible. The writing is on the wall...

20-24s is so active that the infamous from the 19s are nobodies again. The ego driven are hard pressed to put in the time and effort to achieve what they have in their tiny cesspool. Some of them will make a showing but the majority will not stay as the teaming masses dilute the attractiveness of the bracket. Remember, the 19s complained till Blizzard bumped the F2P up to the next bracket. They willingly run off activity! They are boiled down to the dregs displaying their fail short term perspective by gy camping the last team queuing till they quit and then have no more games. They have killed what they say they prize. The truth is they are underdeveloped egos with broken perspectives run rampant on a small community and will get the reward for that...

20-24s is exploding! Those players from the 19s who were turned off by raging epeeners are flocking back as are many new players to twinking. Noobs are vital to the long term success of any bracket as everyone starts some where and you need new growth to offset those tenured players who leave. That is why I have always called Horde Invasion a teaching guild and resist the ego driven call to be exclusive and reject inexperienced players. Some of those "noobs" are considered to be elite caliber PvP players at many levels of WoW! Here is the kicker, very few if any of them will tell you how great they are and will help anyone who is interested to get better for they remember being a noob and the player that helped them grow into better players.

Wow, your "boiled down to the dregs" attitude makes me honestly feel insulted on the behalf of friends who play both 19s ans 20s and some exclusively playing 19s who are very nice and friendly people, enjoying their bracket with it's ups and downs. :(

You seem like a great person, can't you promote fairness in the bracket and the bracket itself while staying positive?

I feel the conflict within you. Let go of your hate.

I insist you change your avatar to Yoda. xD

<edit> Right series wrong quote boo me. Yoda would still make a cooler avatar :p

Wrong person indeed, but If you insist! :)

Also, I still love the fact that Critster seems to honestly believe he's getting fair matches in a 24 premade. It's simply ridiculous.

You can get fair matches with a 24 premade, if you schedule them against other 24 premades. When you do, they're alotta fun :)

Lol. Spend a little time in vent with me. You won't feel any hate.

I gave room for the genuinely good people. There are a few. I have a few friends myself who are still hanging on but the are seriously outnumbered. Most left long ago. A couple of them are just now joining the 20-24 bracket. :D

Some are just too dense to comprehend that while we do group up there are varied levels of a "premade". Take for example yesterday when we ran into an ally team with four 24s to our three. Screenshot incoming. Allies had typical ranged dps and healing advantage. Our group was all melee. We got out of there with a 1 - 1 win. We had such a great time that the others in vent with us listened to the game as it happened like an old radio drama (before my time ;)). Not all our vent users are PvP'ers but most become one after hearing such games.

What exactly is a premade? I PuG alone and do all group sizes. Most of my games are grouped up with one or two others and go with whatever classes we have on. Sure, most games are 6-7-8 minute wins. However everyday we get tough matches as well and at least one of our groups will get rolled by a 7-8-9 hunterfest backed by heals or 2-3 Gnome rouges sporting stuff we can't get like Gnomish Deathrays.

Most importantly we have great times. That is why we are growing at over a new twink per day in Horde Invasion. The rolls are just a speed bump to us...but we don't slow down. :p
