Gnome Arena Master Trick?

As a level 1 gnome with 2 AGMs I can confidently say, you can not be targeted while in the chest when it spawns, however AoEs will still kill you (Arcane Nova, Consecrate).

I wasn't talking classic. I was answering the original question. My level one was made in 2007 with the introduction of XP locking, way before classic.

I killed a gnome sitting inside the Arena Chest yesterday and the day before that by simply targetting him with TAB and Sinister Strike the poor lad.

Was told by someone that if you log out on directly where the arena chest drops you can steal it as a gnome bc you cant be targeted , true or not ?

I have found the easiest way to perfectly position yourself inside of the chest is being in ghost form and waiting for the chest to spawn. As long as part of your body is inside of the chest, then you can reposition to be completely hidden before spawning.
