Give me your opinion: A WSG Today

Haha free to play.
You like the challenges and the people? Stay to the point where Bg's or arenas aren't the reason you get on.

You hate the balance and still wanna play with friends? Play a private server. Rolled one with a friend and its been really fun. After this,I never touched my f2p account.

Biggie you're a better player than this. People are going to be dumb, and it's always been like that.

There are going to be self-righteous people who hinder their team. I'm not going to say anything against Albinocow other than that I wouldn't have made the same call.

Ilya Bryzgalov Score Interview - YouTube

This much hate over someone who seems like he was trying to show a bit of sportsmanship in a game?

you're making a lot of excuses [...], but none of them are predicated in reality...

Play how you want. You're perfectly welcome to group queue and GY farm f2ps. I don't think you'll get the attention you're looking for doing it, but go for it if you'll be having fun.

If you're setting out to make f2ps mad, it'll probably just end up with something like this:

You remember how I was farming you that one game against you I had today?

I don't remember getting farmed today but maybe you just hit me that hard.

There are too many shitty people and games in this bracket for anyone to really care what you do.

Funny how nobody mentioned this is a blatant @thread.

OT: Way to throw a tantrum because your teammate showed some sportsmanship and didn't glitch a win. Be sure to roll horde, I'm on alli right now.

I've 3-capped the flag when the rest of my team wanted to GY farm. I've been called all sorts of names, I don't care. Golden rule applies here, I wouldn't want them GY camping me, so I don't GY camp them. Simple.

El oh el

Frankly i dont see the difference between a Jaja stoping the flag cause he bubbles , or a fc running strait I to enemy team or even dropping flag without warning team . Each time u faceplate and moove on . If it's really bad u just go do something else for a while .

First things first, yes this is a total @thread and we shouldn't even be talking about it.

Now that that's out of the way, let me say that as an Alliance player, I've been on the other end of Albinocow's playstyle. He knows the terrain like I know my reflection. I have been in many games where my team gets pretty pissed off trying to even reach him.If you think it's frustrating that he made one single decision (which you don't actually know the reason for), try being on the other side of the field from him. Between that and scrolled/chanted 24s, which always seem to be more numerous on Horde side than our own, the number of games I've been totally wiped far exceeds the number of games I've won.

But never, in all that understandably frustrating outcome, have I so totally lost my cool that I actually considered paying money to level up a character just for the purpose of griefing 20s. That's a whole new special level of misanthropy. You said yourself in your first post that you knew you were getting way more upset about it than you should, and yet, you're not recognizing the fact that this decision--to ruin as many other people's games as possible--stems from that same overreaction, which you have already acknowledged.

My recommendation would be to try to maybe get out of your head so much. You said that you have a frustrating RL that you can't vent about, and that you want to use this arena to vent? Take my word for it, competition and venting/unwinding do not go together. Maybe take up tai chi or yoga or something, but if you think that becoming a griefer and becoming reviled and despised in the bracket is somehow going to relieve your angst, you may want to take a moment to reconsider.

You asked for opinions; there's mine.

Yeah, if I play 20s I will end up taking it seriously! I don't get to really show how I feel about things in my profession so this is sort of my avenue of expression / somewhere to be somewhat emotional about things! If I roll a 24 I def won't care about this bracket. Good call Honeybadger! Hit me up on Real ID sometime too. We can do some of those 5 mans you like!
Biggie, if this is the Biggie I know, I believe there is plenty out there to get emotional about. Lowering your standards, because one player let you down, isn't what you're supposed to do. You are/were a "hero" to some. In this period of playing, you (and so did I) must have realized people let you down, all the time. They aren't good enough up to your standards, make stupid mistakes, quit for idiotic reasons,... Well, I guess that's just people. Doesn't mean you can't stand up against it next game and work on it, step by step, showing there ARE other ways.

Oh well, but I wouldn't know anything about that all. I quit.

Some people let you down and one managed drop the last bit of anger needed to let the keg run over. Okay. Rage. But don't punish all others for the behaviour of few.
Overall it's just a game.

But to get to the core of your starting post: I would have taken the oppurtunity if gotten into an advantage like this unintentionally and I don't support his behaviour. On the other hand - why are you raging? It's just a game in f2p bracket - it's worth nothing. No rating attached to it.

Sidenote: It could be interesting to have some form of addon that counts your losses and wins and calculates a score from it - like arena.

Just go to a 24 and faceroll just as well as all of the other braindead 24s. Honestly with a hunter of your caliber you don't need to go P2P to faceroll.. Paying 15 bucks a month for this bracket just to bring grief to others and attempt to make others (who mostly don't give 2 craps since they are so used to it) feel upset is pathetic. I'm sorry but if you spend money SOLELY to make someone elses gameplay bad you are pathetic and/or have to much time/money on your hands.

I have thought about making a 24 hunt when I get bloodthirsty and just dominating everyone on ally that's pissed me off/annoyed me these last 3 years and I have rethought it a few times and I just get the thought in my head "am I really that spiteful and sad?" I've dealth with COUNTLESS facerolls, COUNTLESS trolls, COUNTLESS stupid decisions that intentionally cost us the game, COUNTLESS people who are just acting dumb.

I am known and I know damn well all those crappy 24 premades go out of their way to kill me (see examples of hbs 5 person crew chasing me across the map, duos crew running all over the ally side of the map to find me smelded, ex 19s using swiftpots 10 times a bg to kill me after i corpse res) but so what honestly? If that's how they chose to spend their time/money then fine with me. It very very rarely gets under my skin anyone. I still emote people (however now it's mostly just to draw attention and get myself focused intentionally) but I don't really care when I get farmed or when I get a group of people who can't see the count to 10. I honestly feel sorry for 24s now instead of getting angry at them and I've realized the age group/maturity level of this bracket so dumb/immature people don't effect me in bgs as much.

Is this bracket competitive? YES
Is this bracket constantly worth the 2-5 minute q time? no
Is this bracket skilled? Of course not, but it's a f2p bracket and there are still a good amount of skilled people
Does the community of f2ps matter? YES
Does the community of 24s matter? not as much as f2ps but yes, they still need to have their kind of fun

Long story short... If someone like yourself is going to roll a 24 because of one game (idc who was in it or who cost the game or what happened) just in spite in an attempt to make other f2ps upset you should honestly just uninstall the game and quit/take a break. Unless you just want to be another griefing nobody 24 and in that case look up hbs and duos btag for premades. My opinion

I'm not going to go about deleting or editing everyone's posts but I'd like to mention that the focus of the thread should be the issue at hand and not the person behind it.

People have put forward some pretty decent arguments and expressed valid points / opinions. That shouldn't be marred by the use of one example. Although, I will advise everyone to avoid pointing fingers when it comes to topics about "morales," as it has the tendency to start making things messy.

If you'd rather have a FC glitch to win a tight bg than play it fair and lose, maybe making a 24 is a good idea =/

Albino is a classy guy. We were FCing against a team of mostly 24s, plenty of rogues, our team was never going to down the 4k hp-something efc. I wanted to go on top of the alliance resto hut with a mammoth glitch and he refused.

Albino understands, like many p2p's in this bracket who willingly set f2p restrictions on themselves. and like most people who play competitive sports in real life, that winning means nothing if you have an unfair advantage. What's the point of playing a competitive game if there's an asterisk by every win? You can never give yourself any credit with a clear conscience. No one else will give you any credit. It ruins the fun.

24s in this bracket are a different kind of fun. It's the same kind of fun people have in ganking lowbies in redridge. You have the right to do that if you want.

But because the majority of this bracket are forced to go by f2p 20 restrictions. you really aren't a part of the competitive aspect of this bracket if you're a p2p geared 20 or 24. You are just ganking lowbies for the fun of it, and if you win. that's no credit to you, that's just what was supposed to happen. If you lose, on the other hand...

To enjoy this bracket as an f2p 20 I think you have to believe in moral victories. When you're getting GY farmed it has to be an accomplishment to you just getting past them when you rez. It has to be a moral victory to you just making it across mid with the flag.

theres alot of competitive sports where u can/must have that unfair advantage to win, in some sports its illegal in others it isnt but ppl still use it to reach their goals, win, be the best.

don't think of f2ps as people, think of them as parasites that need a cure. after all anything that lives of that back of something else is just that.

be that antibiotic!

Did i got right answer? wuts the prize?

Hopefully you've calmed down a bit, everyone has frustrating games so I get it...
But sadly it looks like you've crossed over :-/

And yeah, I don't plan to be proud of playing my 24. I plan to make a lot of 20s angry. I don't really care for "quality wins."
If I roll a 24 I def won't care about this bracket.
I no longer want to be a part of this "community."
PPS: Any 24s who want to get sponsored, Korgath Alliance, hit me up. Biggie#1940. Show me a 2k+ achievement, or anything that proves you're not an idiot and you're in.
lol

Hopefully that means your 24 is on Korgath. Kindly add your armory in your sig; BWL would love to show you 2k pros the GY ;)
