DV's Confirmed 5.4 Information for F2P

You were the one saying Hunters would go back to one skill...
First: we're talking about you saying "Good luck getting Aimed off before dying.", while moonkins are using 2-2.5sec spells all the time.
Second: >hunters will probably >probably >probably
It means that now about 5% of hunters play MM for some reason, if 5.4 goes live it's the same as to buff MM and nerf surv (in terms of overall damage and focus use), so more hunters (depending on exact numbers) will go MM, lets say 50% and 50% stay surv.
Third: this all has gone too far, leaving till more interesting information appear

50% ain't no probably. And how is surv nerfed when Explosive Shots gets buffed?

Not sure MM gets buffed overall. Arcane shot now cost 30 focus so if you can't use Aimed shot then you will make no dmg at all.


Also, Battle fatigue now reduces heals by 55% (up from 45%) and resilience (from stuff, not the baseline) has been reduced by ~35% (for example my trinket gives 6 resi, it reduces damage by 1.26% on live but only by 0.82% on PTR).

Arms warrior will be brutal next patch with increased battle fatigue and buff to slam .

i love mm and bm but bm lacks dmg on kill command.

Edit: I just saw the patch notes today and kill command dmg is increased.
 
Assassin's Resolve now increases damage by 30% (up from 25%). + Nightstalker now increases damage dealt by abilities while stealthed by 50%, up from 25%. = insane ambushes incoming !
Also from what I've calculated the Mutilate buff is something around 51%. Assassination rogues are going to hurt a lot.
 
A lot of scary looking buffs, Some nerfs which are needed

Hunters: are looking scary, Damage increase from Arcane shot, Kill command, Explosive shot and aimed shot is making this bracket worse and worse Though i'm a little happy that arcane shot has a bit more focus to use, It'll reduce the spam just by a little.

Rogues: got a lot of buffs, and I mean a lot. Though looks like combat might be a good choice but you'll be more energy starved then ever before. at this point we'll probably be seeing a lot more rogues, the only thing that's stopping rogues from becoming the next hunters is if they get sprint or anything along those lines.

Frost Mages: got some decent buffs aside from the frostbolt nerf, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more 24 frost mages now, Atm Ice lance is hitting pretty hard.

Shaman's: They are a roller coaster class atm, The damage increase from flame tongue damage is really unneeded, Just the fact that you can cast while moving LB is ludicrous. Just keeps getting worse for Enhancement, Lava lash nerf is unneeded even at level 90. Defensive talents got some nice buffs, I would probably go with bulwark.

Balance druids: got a some unneeded nerfs but at the same time they got some buffs...I'm not sure at this point.

Priests: As if Shadow word pain doesn't do enough damage by spamming..

Warlocks: Nice buffs here, Especially with affliction. Though all we need is agony and we'll be set.

Warriors; I'm liking the slam buffs, but I'm not sure why They are increasing the amount of rage slam needs, It's fine at level 20 and 90.



Overall in my opinion I see next patch really going to be shit show, Especially with the additions of high end enchants even if they are scaled down. Right now on the PTR the damage is mongo. I don't understand how this shit even gets by blizzard.
 
I like how things are now. I see buffs and 24 enchants jacking this bracket up. So many competitive games (I solo q 90 percent of time) also patch comes right smack in the middle of wsg ab and another ab CTA.

I'm sorry but what? It's was one step closer when they scaled our gear so were not Galaxies away from 24's, but with these buffs and enchants it's pretty much 2 steps back.

Yeah that's what i just said.. either i'm drunk or you are.
 
I maybe be wrong, but you said competitive games, I assumed that you meant with the addition to these buffs and enchants that games would be much more competitive.

F2P hunters will do less damage in 5.4, so it's a small nerf, about 15-10% overall damage decrease for surv. People are so mad at hunters, cant even think :O
But rogues will just tear everything apart, not because of skill, but rather cause of instakill ambushes (if it's ~1k crit from F2P on a leather, get +30% to it and following by evi, almost instadeath).
 
P2P rogues are gonna rape (worse than they do now).

I wonder if it would do any good to go to the PTR forums and say the enchant scaling should see "battle fatigue" (i.e. 55% reduction) for "balance".
