Do you honestly have fun as a F2P in 20-24 battlegrounds?

Are 20-24 battlegrounds fun as a F2P?

People like it BECAUSE it sucks relative to the reward.

No, i honestly think with the alliance all was farming, them crutching on huntards and the amount of 24's has really fucked up this bracket. the reason why i still play is because i've made some really cool guys/girls and that's about it.

So if you're complaining that level 24 players imbalance the bracket, why not do arenas more casually?

I do enjoy the games, and I feel as though almost every game can be fun.

But it blows to solo que, or to group que with no healers.

Not voting since I don't like either of the options :)

This.

Yes, you're going to come across realid's and get pancaked. Yes, Hunters are a piss easy class. Yes, you'll get GY farmed with 16+ minutes left in a game. It obviously isn't stopping people from queuing again. Why do you think our community is as large as it is? People enjoy it.

I personally believe this game is far out of it's prime but I keep logging in.

yeah there is however if you ask around all i do is faceroll people on my lock ;D
as far as my hunter is concerned its more of an accessory account i just have it for the purpose of having it.

Thats an average solo que wsg for me also take a look at the healing done by alliance/horde
horde obviously has more healers they just were lacking in coordination

and if you're going to say something like gy camping i never gy camp and i don't plan on starting.

BGs are tons of fun 95% of the time 24's are ruining the bracket though... it seems more and more horde are making 24's and more BGs are loaded with them... thats not fun /afk out! how can it be fun for them either? its not even a challenge, but they were all probably BULLIED as a child and finally the skinny little computer geek who got his butt kicked his whole life finally found a way to rule something... so what if its the kids on the SHORT bus!!!
Losers! All 24's who run BGs! Alliance and Horde... Be a Man Twink 29 have a challenge in your life.

I don't know how the queue times are for 29's, though. The 20-24 queue times are probably much better because of the amount of F2P's. But I agree, if you like PvP, then challenging competition is what you should be after.

I edited your post a bit ->

Pugging WSG as a solo queue is no fun.

Making friends with other 20s and 24s on your server AND FROM AP, getting on Vent, and running as a group is a lot of fun.

pffff yea, and when you end up in BG with those friends from AP and they say "Hi Imirak!" you completely ignore them :p

No, I haven't been deriving satisfaction from BGs lately. None of my f2p and p2p alts are providing as much joy as I used to have several months ago. But, maybe it's just simple burnout, I dunno.
time to lvl up another alt, maybe an arcane mage

I just do not understand why people don't try arena! I recognize it's new and different but so was F2P when it first started. Most players are far more willing to level another alt, grind out the gear and face-to-brick BG's until they get their BoA's, complaining the WHOLE way about it. If you bring up arena though you'll learn about how much fun it is and how they are having a fantastic time. ><

this bracket is awesome!

reasons.
1: you dont need a job to play it.
2: my 24 rogue globals hasbeen p2p twinks
3: farming skeying hunters. (whats not to love?)
4: listening to hunters cry about 24s while using the famous /castsequence backpaddle, conc shot macro.
5: finding severs with lots of fps then camping gurub with a dk<3.

tis fun with a capital FUn :O

Truth is most the BGs I join are fun (BIASED POLL ALERT - I don't see this as an option!). Pugging as Alliance you will win most games, and only occasionally play vs premade 24s gy farming. Pugging on Horde side you will lose almost every game, and it can be frustrating being placed with bad teams game after game. Major downside to Alliance is queue times where you spend 10 mins on average for WSG. Obviously most people are having fun here or they would just quit altogether. If your argument is that only Arena is fun, I'm sure most would disagree with you.

Well seeing as we play for fun ( I would hope?) Obviously the majority of us here still find it fun otherwise we would have moved on. I still have fun all the time.

OHEY. I didnt take a screenshot D:

There is a reason people dont like arena, and it surprises me that nobody understands. BGS are casual, I dont put in a huge amount of effort and I can still do well, they arent stressful for me as an rdruid, if i die, 90% of the time it's because of class imbalance, I shake it off and continue doing what I do.

Arenas are serious just by themselves, by their connotation. The best players of Aerie Peak do arena, and I don't know that I would consider myself among them. Every time we arena I feel like I lose or get carried by the other players or whatever silly comp im playing (MLPal or something with a second healer like a ret). I know I bring something to the table, but I've never arena'd at end game like you guys have, and I imagine it is just as stressful for other people as it is for me. We used to do bgs all the time Cotus, if you really hate the pvp at 20, maybe it's time for you to quit.

I don't come online to lose bgs with 7 hunters on one side, I log in to be with you guys. I log in for people like Rhaellia, Shaurooke, and Bizr.

arenas are preeeetttyyy casual here, man. i honestly don't know how much more casual it could get, given our F2P limitations. you might just not be a very competitive person, so the idea of direct competition (even if there's nothing at stake) might just not seem fun to you. and of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. i always figured that this was the reason why such a large portion of the WoW playerbase never particularly liked arenas - WoW is not an inherently competitive game or linear game, and so it probably attracts a different kind of playerbase than i am used to (obviously i enjoy at least a base level of competition; otherwise i find gaming kind of pointless)

and i want to clarify that i had a lot of fun BGing in this bracket, for a long time - just not anymore. there has been a very noticeable influx of even more hunters and even more 24s, not to mention the multiple significant buffs that hunters have gotten since the F2P bracket started. these changes took something that was once occasionally annoying and made it instead a constant problem, to the point where i don't see how any "reasonable" person could objectively say that they queue up for every BG expecting to have a good time.

we all knew that it was going to happen eventually. the other twink brackets are falling apart, endgame subscribers are quitting, and so not surprisingly these people are coming to the 20-24 bracket in the form of griefing 24s and griefing hunters. all good things come to an end eventually. but as i've said many times on this forum before (and goldendays has said too), we could avoid ALL of these problems and create an arena pvp paradise with this bracket that could theoretically last forever.

you may see me as a pessimist, but i've always been optimistic about this possibility - the pessimists are the ones who just keep on queuing BGs and keep on complaining in-game and on the forums and refuse to open their minds.

I constantly amaze myself with my willingness to go against an OP team and find a way to still enjoy it. That being said, if a game is just stupid I'll take the deserter and log on to another toon. And lately, the games have been even stupider than usual - I think f2p has become too recognized/popular.

I'll take arena over bg any day. They each have their place though, to condemn bgs altogether is close minded - especially considering it's been a while since AP horde really ran a full group or even a strong 5 man.

Yes you are right they are more casual than arenas at cap, but there's still pressure to do well. If I fuck up, I look like an idiot. If we lose over and over, that's not very fun. IDK man. Bgs are retarded though, can't even argue

I just enjoying doing it all. I mean ya, Bg's these days are terrible (most of the time) but its what I came here for. I really enjoy going 10v10 or 15v15. Big games like that have always caught my interest. I normally just pug games with a couple close twinks that i know for the challenge. If I get tired of losing, I know I can get some more people to bg with me. Arenas are still somewhat new to me, but the 2v2 or 3v3 style isnt for me. I enjoy them but I get easily frustrated when I don't do everything right. Basically what shft said, like I feel like an idiot when we lose because I messed something up. There can be a balance between BG's and arenas, don't just do only one. Its what keeps me playing.
