DK f2p are you out there?

I'm assuming you are trying to do gear solo/with only the BfA dungeon finder:

You can (and should) grab a triple socket helm from a quest in zangarmarsh, https://www.wowhead.com/item=27715/circles-stalwart-helmet?ilvl=24 it doesn't have haste or mastery, but it's easy to get and just a lot better than something with only one socket.

There are also TBC quests for 3 socket pants and a 2 socket belt, but they don't have secondary stats at all so they aren't that great as options. Definitely not even worth considering until you have epic gems to slot in. And by that point you may be wanting to try to solo some dungeons for some of the better TBC gear.

Otherwise, go and try your luck with the BfA one-time rares to see what you get, and then farm apexis rares/BfA dungeons for socket upgrades. And until you have the sockets and real gems to put in them, honestly the pandaria vendor greens are as good as anything in a lot of slots if you want mastery.

Also https://www.wowhead.com/item=129072/the-violaceous-pearl?ilvl=25 is an easy to grab neck with the stats you want, as there are no BfA rare/dungeon necklaces, and the ones from Draenor and Pandaria have a different stat template with strength and less secondaries, which is generally not as good.

Good Luck!

Hey ty for this I have a friend that can chromie me into que but idk if that makes my f2p less legit or not . But as blood I've had some decent luck soloing some tbc in the panda greens .

so im thinking as free to play in order to get alot mastery haste farm apexis rares and bfa rares for socket procs on gear with as much haste mastery as i can get ? as free to play would this be a decent option?
Pretty much. It can take a while as the proc rate is low, but u can get some socket haste - mastery gear this way.

As mentioned, the TBC dungeon gear with slots is a good starting place.

I then started playing with WoD dungeons + Inn for extra piece of gear. U won’t get slots, but lots of good haste + mastery gear and it can proc a tertiary stat.

I’ve got a speed set which has quite a few WoD pieces. Sure it’s not slotted but still good for getting speed up and FC’ing.

U won’t be able to match a fully ilvl 28 toon, but u will get in the ballpark and be effective.

Going to take u a while though, but have fun and enjoy it.

My vote is for this, IF you want to favor mastery.... or if you're just lazy like me. ;)

I just started doing this stuff without a main account carrying and personally there's a lot more stuff I'd rather focus on than getting a socket proc for gems i dont even have. The individual difference per slot is likely going to be so minimal it'll all be finishing polish anyway.

Im gonna go make a DK right now tho cuz I'm farming cloth for bags on my druid and that gets stale, lol. Gotten pretty interested in how decent the MoP greens will make a fresh DK and i got a cold, snowy weekend ahead to find out. :NotLikeThis:

makes my f2p less legit or not

I'd worry about how it makes you feel, that's all that really matters. Me personally, I have a ton of vet toons so I want to do it all solo.... not going to be the best toon because of that, but I dont care. This one is about the journey not the armory....

I would LOVE to see us be able to queue more than BFA next xpac tho, but it could be a total change anyway and negate everything we're doing to gear now... so do what makes you happy now, IMO. ;)

honestly the first thing you should do is grab the mop greens and then work on getting other things, not sure if pure f2p can get to pandaria though. Like when ever I make a new character I always head to the mop green vendors at 19/20 to grab some easy gear for the grinds ahead.

It's been letting me use the portal in SW/ORG without even doing the MoP opening quests... might be a level thing? At 20 anyway, havent tried lower. Also nice that there's lots of pandaria treasures along the way to pay for the gear no matter how you leveled.

Also ilvl 24 weapons at the lower vendors, require level 15 to use so as good or better than artifacts for a few gold.

Strange I will have to run over to the portals on a new toon some time and look. Everytime I play a dk I can't help but be reminded of all the times a dk on my random bg team has gripped an enemy fc out of my smoke bomb or something. Absolute good times.

Also there is vendor in dk area to rebuy your starter gear at ilvl 25 and look at the str it gives is not too bad but lacking secondaries

i started farming cloth for bags im having good luck in azurewing welpland from the quest mobs for the withered there is a nice few groups here hope it helps

Lol cool, I was considering trying to grind it up to 20 before questing in DK land like you can do with DH to see how it all looked. Saved me some hassle, thanks!

i started farming cloth for bags

I did outland first for 16 slot bags by just questing there (on my druid), kind of unecessary with the big quest reward bags if you get those fast... now farming non-instanced Freehold for tidespray and deap sea satin for https://www.wowhead.com/item=154695

Scrapping any cloth green drops you get speeds up the deep sea satin process a lot. Only one bag so far but it's easy.

edit- also, apparently crafting/scrapping https://www.wowhead.com/item=154692 nets a couple deep sea satin so I'll go that route if I get enough tidespray. I'll probably just go straight to that on my new DK after i get a couple ele force chants.

i found it level one ok well maybe ill get those later

It's level 50 but you literally just make bandages until you reach 50 tailoring. So it's a lot of cloth but worth it.

edit- hehe....

[doublepost=1643470495,1643463307][/doublepost]Also interesting, panda portal wouldnt work for my Horde DK... not sure if it's faction or class being the issue. Gotta go do the initial MoP quests.

Just the first one to talk in the capital to your faction leader.
