he's talking about ilvl 49 artifact weapons, that got nerfed months ago but he's whined about in every thread he's ever posted in ad nauseum since SL dropped.

Youre referring to the ilvl 44 necks and no. They got fixed within like 3 hours on NA two years ago and werent broken last year for even a second. Missed the boat on that one.

Ty and no worries I'm still rocking panda vendor gear as I farm however it has lots of haste and mastery so it actually works well for blood

Haste and Mastery is great for Blood.
A couple of other pieces u could try for as F2P are:
  1. https://www.wowhead.com/item=119227/morgos-unstoppable-ramming-helm?bonus=6691 which is a daily drop from Draenor. Can proc both a socket and tertiary stat. Theoretically should be able to do both, I've only ever seen one or the other.
  2. https://www.wowhead.com/item=133647/gift-of-radiance?bonus=1795 has static Str + Mast. The on-use is a little soft
  3. https://www.wowhead.com/item=129072/the-violaceous-pearl?bonus=6691 can proc Epic for an extra +1 Stam
  4. https://www.wowhead.com/item=133634/grasping-tentacle-loop?bonus=1795 for a ring.
Also, some TBC Dungeon gear with 2 / 3 sockets work well as the extra Str compensates for the lack of mastery.

Runeforging is also good for weapon chants to tie u over till u get Crusader.

You will not be able to get ur 2ndry stats as high as a Vet, but there are some decent options as F2P which will get it high enough to slap some dudes in bg's.

Cool! It's frustrating to see people telling f2play to "just get sockets" when it's a strength class, given the effort involved to get decent str gems. :FrogeTorch:

I guess I just assume that if someone chooses the F2P path they understand it's a grind......
I wasn't trying to be frustrating.
As a lot of Goblins would say, 'time is money friend'.......;)
 
yeah the f2p gem grind for str is rough, like chipping away at it 1 hour a day is going to take forever kinda rough which I am doing on my sfm warrior atm. had to wait until I had a nice stockpile of crusaders in the bank before swapping proffs.
 
I think if you have crusader it'll still be competetive as a warrior at least, while you grind. (edit- PLUS EPIC CUDGEL :cool:)

I cant bring myself to f2play one because I truly dont believe I could solo-farm out the grear, and personally I dont see the difference from vet if you get carried to gear as f2play (just a masochistic grind). Already have several vet warriors i never play, lol.

Hopefully blizz will change/fix the LFG accessibillity come next xpac, I could see doing it then. Dk as well, or more.

DK is a fun class, wish it had more love.
 
Yep it's pretty awful to have to do it just to try out a new class that you don't even know if you'll like. I didn't mind so much on my warrior once I actually broke down what I needed to do, but that's for a character I've played on and off for 6-7 years and a class that I knew I loved.

Should I do crusader first or gem farm first?I was thinking crusader I got the plans for farmed already just got to farm linen till the cows come home to make things to get the green dust.

Yeah good thing I love dk and always have better to do a long grind on a class you like right.

crusader first. and dont forget to farm up enough mats to go ahead and make like a full stack of it.

so im thinking as free to play in order to get alot mastery haste farm apexis rares and bfa rares for socket procs on gear with as much haste mastery as i can get ? as free to play would this be a decent option?
