Craziest "launch" screenshots

It isnt that I dont have the "classic spirit" (which I dont)

Its more about no matter how much I contribute to being a good apple, other players are still going to grief. So whats the point?
being a good person is about how you act when there are no consequences for your actions.

but hey, it's a video game and everyone's gonna forget about people cutting in line by next week. indeed... who cares?

hi GC. if you feel like rolling with the PTL guys we are on Fairbanks Horde. Mitch was asking about you recently :)

Word, I am Horde on Myzrael right now as their queue times were lowest but I can venture over to Fairbanks in the future since that is also in the LA datacenter. I really like 46ms. :)

From Reddit, people waiting in line to do a quest. Fucking /salute, keep this stuff going.

This really is amazing, I don't recall in vanilla people ever patiently waiting in line to do quests. It was either group up into a party or die trying to get it.

Especially Undead, who are just a bunch of filthy meth heads. ;)

I think it’s wonderful and wholesome to be social and part of the community by doing things like standing in line.

There are still a few people who don’t care, but for the most part people have been really cool. After 15 years people have matured and gained respect for one another. It’s awesome to see.

“We’re all in this long and miserable grind together!”

Let’s all start a line for AGM trinkets since we don’t value our time

#no lines crew

Have not seen a line yet but no way in hell am I waiting in a long ass line for 1 quest.

I have two issues with this:

1) AGM is obviously a PVP event, of course people are not going to stand in line for it. I’m not going to stand in line for WSG wins either.

Waiting in line for quests are PVE endeavors. It’s respecting your fellow adventurers.

2) I don’t understand your “time” concept here. We’re all playing WoW, which could be considered wasting time regardless. Outside of WoW, it is.

In addition, spending time to help the greater whole is an experience. For you, it’s a waste of time. For others, it’s an enjoyable experience.

Cheers!

I mentioned time because I sat in a 7+ hour queue to log into the game. Why would I intentionally slow things down even more so by participating in a line that already is being grieved by countless players? It’s just not smart.

Let me guess, you also don’t want me ninja looting valuable items either? Give me a break it’s a video game.

I don’t care how you want to spend your time. Do what you want. You’re right, it is just a game.

My point is that for many players, they respect one another. It shows in how they act and the way they socialize and help one another in the game. For many of us, these things are how we enjoy spending our time.

We can all appreciate that Blizzard™ completely fucked-over your launch-day plans with their moronic "limited-server strategy"...

...but those other players waiting in line? They're not to blame. They're at the same point in the starting-player quest-chain as you, which presumably means they endured the same unforgivable queue as you.

The difference is, they made an effort to minimize the frustration caused by Blizzard's bullshit... "first come, first served" as it were.

It's the classic "Prisoner's Dilemma": it's always "smarter" to be the one who betrays your allies... but if too many people do the "smarter" thing, then you all lose.

Thus doing the "smart" thing (cooperation) becomes smarter than doing the "smarter" thing (betrayal). The only reason you were even able to "jump the line", was because your fellow players were smart-enough to provide you with a 30-player "line" instead of a 90-player "spawn-cluster".

I understand the impulse to "lash out" at an apparent manifestation of your lost gametime, really I do... but if you can't be part of "the solution", at least try not to punish the other "victims".

Are you guys new to the internet? What is this "respect other players" you speak of?
All I did was loot my quest item

...and you could have simply (pretended) to apologize with a "joke and a /wink" to the people in line, and went on with your business, but instead:

I don’t think you could recognize a joke if your life depended on it lol

I really want to read a lot of your posts as you clearly put effort into them. But the amount of quotation marks & bold/italics makes it impossible for me.

Off topic but bloody hell it was painful reading that.

Guys

It's jwl

He didn't do anything he said he did. He's just trolling for attention. His "I'm a big time streamer/R1 twink" troll stopped getting responses so he switched to the "I'm an asshole violating social expectations" troll. Treat him accordingly.
