Ok, but no one mentioned the base stats of any of the allied races. I already knew nelf had the most agility of the original races. But if Dark Iron dwarf is like -2 agi or even 0 agi with their busted racial then that would be better (and easier to just shit them out and reroll quests).

I must confess. I've tried to find base stats that are up to date however nothing online seems to be current. Please point me in the direction if I'm wrong.
The best class for a rogue:
Alliance: Night Elf.
The re-stealth and highest base agility in the game makes them leagues above any other race at 20 unless you're going for something specialised like an objective running Worgen rogue.
Gearing alliance you'll be much quicker in rolling a dark iron dwarf until you get the epic loot drops you want, however a large portion of rogue gear can be farmed or purchased.
Horde: Options....
Blood Elf, Orc, Goblin, Undead, Zandalari Troll are all viable options.
Blood Elf has high agi, tied with goblin and troll. It also has a purge which regenerates 15(i think?) energy which can really come in clutch with priest bubbles. The energy bonus can help you pull of that dispatch or pistol shot for the interrupt.
Orc has low agi compared to the rest on the list but they are the only race with a cooldown burst which is great for additional opener damage. Hardiness is also useful for 20% stun reduction although there aren't a lot of stuns in this bracket.
Goblins have high agility with 1% haste racial which is nice. Their main benefit is with their mobility or damage racial. it deals around 150 damage non crit which, when starved of energy will help out nicely in finishing someone off. The rocket jump is good fun and allows you to either catch up with someone or reach difficult spots for other players. Also some trick jumps available with this baiting people off of edges. (they're also really small and harder to see in stealth)
Undead are undoubtedly the coolest looking race with the best animation. Their touch of the grave procs fairly often and you'll see a reasonable amount of healing/damage returns after a full battleground. Their agi is middle of the pack. Their racial is actually really useful as two classes at 20-29 have fears. Cannibalise can be really useful or just straight up BM. Whichever way you decide to use it, it's unique.
Zandalari Troll will be the best to farm gear on and have a selection of strong racial. I've got no idea on the base stats for these guys. Their Loa blessing will probably be best selected to the 5% movement speed stacking with Movement Speed boots to total 115%. Regeneratin' is great to nip around a corner and blast to full health yet not too useful in sustained combat.
The goblin glider racial is great fun but can be over-come with consumables.
There's my thoughts. Hopefully this will give you enough info to go off.

Panda rogue is really good. High base agi and stam with a racial that really compliments the rest of the rogues kit.
I put together a list of the main races base stats a while ago. I never really got around to cleaning it up and making it readable but it will give you an idea. I didnt really dig into allied races (this was for a F2P thread and we dont have allied races) but if memory serves, allied races stats correspond to their standard race counterparts, except highmountain because of taurens stam racial.
So if you're looking for the best possible race for a rogue, that should help guide you along.

I found at least the base stat of Dark Iron dwarf for agility is 0 instead of -4 like normal dwarves. I leveled a nelf rogue up to 20, got it naked and compared to a dark iron level 20 rogue. The nelf had 61 agility 48 stamina while the dark iron had 57 agi 49 stamina (nelves have +4 agility iirc). Seems like it might be the best option then, since shadowmeld was nerfed heavily in instanced pvp and being able to stoneform off dots is nice. Also being able to spam them for quest epics is much nicer, soothsayer's takes like 5-10 minutes to do.
