Are shadowfang and gloom bis at 29?

Does anyone know if any of this information applies to a windwalker monk? If not, does anyone know if BiS would be anything other than heirloom weapons when you consider low level gear scaling?

Combat Rogues get 50% increased AP passive, that is why AP stacking is so good for rogues. For WW monk I think heirlooms may be better because you are quite squishy, and unlike rogue you can't stealth through mid.

For BM though you are godmode, and since 1 AP gives 18 extra absorb (about 20 with 10.5% vers) to Gaurd you can stack AP and rely on a massive absorb from Gaurd to keep you alive. So stacking AP could be viable but to what extent I dont know.

How often does it proc?
Are slower weapons still preferable to faster weapons now that things like sinister strike is based on attack power not your weapon damage?

One thing you need to look at also, is weapon speed. BOA sword, mace, 1h weapon (non-dagger) has a 2.80 attack speed. Shadowfang has a 2.70 attack speed.. aprox 3.3% faster (if i did the math in my head correctly)

Now put elemental force on that, which has a high proc rate, and you will not only be hitting like a truck, but hitting faster. I haven't used this sword, but from various twinks at the 10-19 and 20-29 bracket, elemental force seems to be kind of OP. Especially for a rogue, since it procs from poison ticks.

I am pretty sure that weapon speed doesn't affect EF procs

I am pretty sure that weapon speed doesn't affect EF procs

IF you read the post you commented on, I never said it did.

But faster weapons have a higher rate of damage application,
EF is a RPPM enchant. So a slower weapon like a 3.6 speed 2h sword has a higher change per swing to proc. Faster weapons have a lower chance per swing to proc, but they hit more in the same time frame. The weapon speed difference mainly comes from the number of hits per minute and applications of poisons, or enchants, including elemental force on the main hand, which can trigger EF on the off hand. I just hadn't figured I would have to explain the EF proc mechanics as applied to various attacks and dot applications, I figured everyone would already know this before commenting about EF procs.

Unless of course, you are strictly talking about a player using EF without applying poisons, or using bleeds or area of effect or other spells, and just doing single target melee attacks, in which case, weapon speed wont make any difference at all, but in that case.. well politely put, that player should stick to hellokitty.com and leave WoW to the big boys and girls. (not to mention sit at the kids table at Christmas and Thanks-Giving) lol

is gloom 14 agi?
it says 13 on f2p gear scaling index, and someone said it was 14

idk if i want to farm it since it would be the only piece with crit and armor of the fang scales to 13 agi

I wasn't talking about rogues specifically but EF in general. But yeah if you have like poisons or mark of the shattered hand, faster weapons provides faster/more applications and thus potentially more EF procs.

It scales the same as Fang armor but has the additional crit that makes it BiS

I would still equip a dagger for that off-hand. 40% more dmg on your ambush if you equip a dagger.

Not sure if you're trying to troll, but this is false. The dagger needs to be in main hand obviously.

Hm, Mesi... I tested it today with 2x wsg dagger and the ambush was 80% higher! Just too sick! ;)
Oneshotted a monk through the guard bubble, besides i used agility enchant for my weps to get much more dmg!!

just tested it
2x loom swords
loom dagger MH sword OH
sword MH dagger OH

all of them did 590-615 damage on 27 elite mobs
so does it worth getting second shadowfang over BVB for better EF procs? and what is BVB scaling btw, ive been searching for hours

also tried as sub
dagger MH, dagger OH and both daggers
all of them, first ambush hits for 5xx damage and the second hits for 7xx, also got 100% armor ignored buffs might be good against BM and guardian druid buffs

im using subterfuge btw

I need to see that before I believe it rofl

Why would a shadowfang give you better EF procs?

3.33, repeating of course, percentage of attack speed.....

ALRIGHT THUMBS UP, LET'S DO THIS

i searched on google about EF procs and PPM, so neither weapon speed or weapon bonus proc increases EF procs right? only haste increases, and the only thing that keeps Shadowfang over Thiefs blade is 70ish bonus proc
I do think SF wep proc = more EF procs, not sure tho

i may be wrong but i've been trying some combinations and loom MH shadowfang OH seems decent enough
1 weapon damage worths like 11 agi/ap, since combat skills isnt directly increased by agi/ap but from "main hand damage", i didnt knew that lol, i might be a bit late

everyone is using 2x sfangs + solid sharpening stone
