Doesn't dodge start to plateau in the 80-90%s? Back before some of the dodge stuff was removed (like I had 22 dodge to chest on a formal dangui that I used w/ rogue), the rating would give significantly less after a certain percentage.

Yes, it's called Diminishing Return. The higher the value you add, the infinitely more of that value you need as you can theoretically never reach 100%. The way to side step DR. at least a little, is to use the Primary stat that gives the Secondary stat you want, Agi > Dodge as an example. It's well known that proc trinkets/set bonuses/etc do not fall under the DR nerf bat and are applied as normal. Pushing up a Primary stat works in a similar way. On you tool tip it says "Before Diminishing Returns", that only applies to the value of that stat, not gaining it via another method. That means the more Dodge you stack the worse DR hurts, but getting Dodge from other means doesn't get effected as much and sometimes at all.

Good to know! Thanks.

UPDATE: I finally got the PvE-BOA Shoulders and BOA Cloak thus bringing my Agility to 178 and Dodge to 80.77% unbuffed. I still am working on the BOA Helm, 2 Agi bracers with 5 Dodge, and Gypsy pants with 4 Agi.

UPDATE2: Got the BOA Helm today, brought the total up to 183 Agility and Dodge to 81.81%. I've been trolling the AH daily for the 2 Agi Bracers to toss 5 Dodge on and ofc the 4 Agi pants.

Getting the 2 agi bracers with 5 dodge and 4 agi pants wont bring your dodge over 90, it will be more like 84-86 %. Not sure where you get your numbers though. I logged off in agi gear. Missing 4 agi boa head, 1 agi boa pve shoulders, 1 agi pants and 1 agi boa cloak = 7 agi with me beeing on 84.4% in agi gear atm. Dodge gear gives more dodge then agi gear like ive always been saying and i can know because i can switch the gear.

I'm taking my numbers straight from the character screen in game, not the super buggy battle.net page. I also logged out in Agi gear and you can look for yourself I am sitting at 81.81% Dodge with 183 Agi and ONLY 8 Dodge to cloak as the only Dodge on my gear atm. With the 2stam+5 dodge bracers I'm pushed to almost 86%. Add at least 6 (maybe 7) Agility from legs/bracers and 2x One Ring for another ~1.3% Dodge (unaffected by DR) -OR- add only ~2 Agi by losing the 5 Agi belt for 3 Dodge for a gain of ~2-4% total since DR will be affecting the numbers strongly. All of which should (but I am not positive) bring me at or marginally close to 90% Dodge unbuffed.

It's Diminishing Returns that is what's hitting so hard, but as I stated it requires maximum amounts of Agility while having a little Dodge too to get numbers like what dodgeyou has with his GF'd enchants, IF we even can get that high. And besides that's the fun (or the challenge) to do **** as Twinks people wouldn't normally think possible.

EDIT: Fail Blizz, battle.net hasn't updated since I logged out in my Agi gear (over 2 hours ago). Creepybutler in his RP gear lol.

Im not saying i dont believe you sitting on 81.81% but im saying that you are not able to reach 90% with just 6 agi and 5 dodge rating to bracers more. I can switch my gear and see. 84.4% + 7 agi wich im missing ( i dont know what i can improve more) ~ 1,4% dodge would make it ~ 85.8% in full agi gear and im allready higher in dodge gear 86.44% without boa helm 4 agi and 1 agi missing from pants would make it ~ 1% dodge more = ~87,44% in dodge gear.

Which is why I wish that **** would just show up in my bags or on AH as if by magic so I could know definitively what's the maximum number achievable without the GF'd Dodge chants (which is basically me and you). Now depending on how Sinister Calling effects the remaining Agility I have yet to obtain, I will achieve a maximum of 189 or 190 (191 is unlikely) with 13 Dodge. That should put me near your 87.44% (probably a tad less like 87.2%), but if I can obtain 3 Dodge belt for 16 total Dodge with 185/186 Agility my Dodge should be a few % over that 87.44% but I doubt over 90% itself, DR is just too difficult to account for that the numbers are only close estimates.

The underlined bit is the key, very high Agility AND max non-GF'd Dodge is where I think the key is in tricking, if you will, DR into pushing the value a bit higher.

I just dont agree with your calculations and expectations but you will see when you have all your gear sorted. I can allready see that its not possible to go over 89% without dodge gear because i can compare that gear allready and switch. That 87,44% would be me in dodge gear with 3 dodge belt, 2 dodge cloak with 12 dodge enchant and missing just 5 agi ~1% dodge. You will certainly not get to that, just look at my toons gear and compare it with your own (wow armory is giving the right stats for it)

Which is why I keep pushing the limit of what's possible, to see what can be achieved even if it's outside the box thinking.

To bad for you that im an eu player, i have 2 of those belts and bracers in stock and a shame i didnt use the satchel exploit to get 100% xD

Wait a sec, what about the ptr for testing bracers with dodge and 3 dodge belt?
<
I want to know
<

Dunno bout PTR I have never been able to get it to work for my account, even Blizz has no clue why it won't work but yeah that'd be a good place to test it I'd think. Also I should edit what I said, I know 16 Dodge is not maximum Dodge post GF'd chants, I meant 16 Dodge + 185/186 Agility being the max Dodge with the max Agility one can simultaneously achieve and I think that would yield higher Dodge % than going MAX Dodge of what like 20 and then Agi for the rest (post GF'd enchants).

No matter what I swap around on my gear, dodge gear gives more then something with a max amount of agi in its place. stack as much dodge as possible.

Edit: Im over 92% now unbuffed
