The reason why English isn't dominant in immigrating countries is because there's more actual people who speak English there than immigrants, which scews the numbers. It doesn't mean immigrants don't wanna learn the language of the country they move to. In fact, over half of all immigrants in the US speak English really well. And the immigrant population in the US is over 43 million. So wherever you got the idea that immigrants don't try to learn the native tongue of the country they immigrate to, that shits false. It's a myth. Read any studies done on the percentage of english speaking immigrants and you'd know.

The US is not the richest country in the world per capita. Even norway is richer. And they take a lot of immigrants. In fact, in 2017 17% of the entire country was nothing but immigrants.
