70 hpal help

Currently trying to update all of my characters, and I'm also having issues with my 70 hpal. I can't seem to find a consistent armory with a gear setup that makes sense or that is updated, so I would appreciate any input.

From what I've seen, resil was nerfed for lower levels, so I am wanting to farm heroics for the int/haste and int/vers gems. I also have most of the items from SWP, BT, etc. Would just like to know what I should change.

Edit- Also I believe I am 1 run off from being exalted with the Hyjal rep if that makes any difference
 
Do that Hyjal run. 2x Eternal bands are OP

Only the sage eternal band works for spellcasters atm. I would suggest more crit over vers and would suggest capping haste at roughly 16-18% also most of your old hpal pieces should already have vers on them in replace of there old stat spirit. The set @Gixxer66 linked I’d say is bis since you are also looking for vers and it’s large intellect budget. Nice looking toon and the ring @Chey also linked a really good ring. I hope this helped a bit

Also just to clarify, is that ring/neck set only worth using if I can find the ilvl 100 version?
 
Even the level 70 one is 37 int combined - so if that works out more than your current neck and your lowest stat ring I'd say yeah, as long as losing the secondaries on the current items doesn't take you below any break points

Not that it means anything but I use the the level 70 sets on my Resto Sham and Disc

yea but you also think glaives are good so forgive me for waiting for someone I know to confirm/deny.

Where do you obtain the ilvl 100 version anyways? Is it just with the current scaling if you loot it that's what level it's obtained as or is it gf'd?
 
My holy set is not best in alot but I’ve posted here to help guide you as I feel it’s a great cookie cutter build to get you on your way. I’ve opted enchant wise for ones that increase haste and crit proc on cast. This works very well for
Pvp since the heals need to get pumped out fast and furious. Monks give me a run for my money in total heals every bg in this setup, the other heal classes don’t come close.


In a PVE situation I would not recommend the enchants I am using as I can tell you for a fact you’ll blow through your mana so fast in Black temple thanks to the increased haste.

Anyway, I hope this provides some guidance to help get you started and I would highly recommend all the other things mentioned in this post thus far

Just bumping this thread so I don't have to make a new one because I have a few new questions. I've updated my paladin, and so far I think I'm in a good spot.

First of all, I've obtained an ilvl 100 Charlotte's Ivy, but I only have an ilvl 83 Lola's Eve. Is it still worth using, or should I wait until I stumble upon an ilvl 100 ring?

Secondly, is the shield from Sha'tar rep the best option? Currently I'm using this crit shield from Hyjal (?) and not the SWP shield because I prefer a more balanced build as opposed to going full in on haste or vers, etc.

Lastly, I got the suggested ring from Halls of Stone, and I really like it. For the other, I'm using one off the trash from BT, and it seems to be an okay option, but from the anniversary event, I got the ring off of Doomlord (unfortunately no wf/socket) with Crit/Haste. I'm just looking for the best option for that 2nd ring slot. This is of course if it's not worth equipping the ilvl 83 Lola's.

Any other suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance! (Armory link is in main post)

Even at 70, https://www.wowhead.com/item=34625/kharmaas-ring-of-fate&bonus=4080 is a popular option, check it out. https://www.wowhead.com/item=38036/circlet-of-the-forgotten-mercenary&bonus=3687 and https://www.wowhead.com/item=35932/earthbinders-regenerating-band&bonus=3686 can be alternatives to your https://www.wowhead.com/item=32528/blessed-band-of-karabor but I am not aware of a nice crit ring, so your anniversary ring may actually be best for an hpala.

My 2 cents, I mostly specialise in 79s so can't help more, sorry.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be sure to pick those up and test them out, I never thought of them
 
i assume this is for pvp., ditch the hibernation crystal and get a shifting sliver or a trinket for mana regen. also, always use a shield with a socket.
if you can find one, jetzees bell is bis over momento. .. over everything really.

brutal glad chest is bis for iirc all 3 specs, helm too but youre already using that. the scaled shoulders are worth looking at too.

you may want int stam or int vers gems too. vers is king in pvp imo.

Yup this is pvp, my bad for not elaborating.

So I've been scouring many servers for Je'tze's and Lola's, so I'm 100% with you there.

Also why the vers gems? I like a balance of stats, but I haven't tried pure vers gems yet. I'm thinking I'll get a 2nd set then in that case. I've just gone with the crit gems primarily because crit seems to be a solid choice for paladins due to infusion of light, but I assume vers because of the overall healing increase/dmg reduc.

It's a bursty bracket, that's for sure, but is the amount of vers worth it over the amount of crit I'd be losing out on?

Edit- when I say pure vers I mean the int/vers gems
