hunter

Are survival hunters useless? I've been looking around on some twink chars. And in the big post with alot of chars separated between class and spec. all the chars listed under survival hunter is a MM, has something happend to the spec making it bad in lvl 29 or what happend?

I keep seeing that dual wield survival is the way to go as a hunter. Is this simply because of 2 enchants? Because you can't use your melee abilities with 1h weapons, so it's just 1(?) ranged attack.
