Queues are 5-10 mins all day at 110 (Eu Horde). Bracket is active more so in the evenings.

From my testing, the 295s trigger after you have completed 3 story Azerite Quests with 280 rewards, so effectively 1 and a half zones. Then the last quest second area, and both quests in the last area yield pieces at 295.

It’s either the level of your arti, or as the story progresses, you unlock the higher tier. I didn’t get a 295 piece till the final quest of the second zone I finished, but then got 295s again in the last zone.

What method did you guys use to get to 119 while avoiding any quests that would trigger rewards worth waiting till 119 to do?

New with the latest patch, but undocumented: You can now buy Champion Equipment crates for 250 Nethershards from Warmage Kathleen on the Broken Shore I bought a few and got some epic original equipment at 101. Probably quicker then the Curious Coin grind.
