Wow classic news

im pretty sure it wont be exactly as it was in classic. they would have implemented new systems but kept the original gameplay. that means starter editions and even vets are very much possible. though maybe not for demo. there might be class trials though that starts you at level 60

Don't think there will be a form of exp lock/trial at all since there probably be and exclusive paywall+ gametime
And even if there will be: 9 levels is like 40% miss. 20 rogue vs 29 rogue in stealth - 0 chances.
Wow tockens will surely be a thing in a form since imagine all the gold sellers otherwise.

Big part of vanilla was unknown content.
There was no wowhead to same degree. no youtubers. Players had far less class knowledge in general.
It is like comparing goldmaking in vanilla to this guy https://clips.twitch.tv/GlutenFreeCoweringSowFunRun

Think lot of people will be disappointing with classic and not because of the game but because time is different now.

Vanilla had allakazham and thottbot, it wasnt to hard to find information. I see absolutely no problem with knowing general information like stat priority and key binds, other then that i think you all are giving people who have never played vanilla to much credit about “what they know about vanilla” Youtube videos have also been very common since vanilla, i remember getting WW axe at lvl30 through youtube vids, watchig rohk delar and anathema quest lines on youtube. Everyones going into like yeah imma fuck this game up first thing and lvl to 60 in 2h and 41 minutes. Like no, youre all gunna struggle even with an abundance of information
[doublepost=1538147297,1538147117][/doublepost]Including me, The main thing about classic im so hyped on is the fact that ill be able to do all this hard shit again thats 1000000x more interesting/difficult then anything weve seen since vanilla. Im really stoked to have an actual challenge in game and have the knowledge to know what i need to do and dont need to do. People probably have a different opinion but like i said, Everyone is assuming this will be like a private server and thats just wrong in all senses of the word.

Vanilla private servers have been out for a while now, so Im sure Blizz will have to change some things up. Only problem there is that it might piss alot of people off. Personally, I leveled two toons on Nostalrius for a total of 12 days /played, so I'm not too thrilled to see Classic again(unless of course they plan to release Xpacs for Classic). Vanilla was nice, but it's something that should be kept in the past. I don't enjoy leveling and I doubt most modern players really enjoy it either

Vanilla was a one time thing, boys. Something you were able to enjoy because you were on your early/late teen years, more than just a game, it was also about all the social and developmental (at a personal level) aspects you might have experienced during those years. However, chances are that if you played vanilla, you are an adult right now and there are a lot of stuff that just are not compatible with adulthood. Personally, I have real obligations that prevent me from staying at home smoking weed and playing video games all day, but allow me to point at two things that are a deal breaker for me.

Remember wiping at some boss? Nowadays we have a checkpoint system that not only allows for some sort of fast travel inside raid/dungeon (maybe a portal or you simply appear close to the boss), there are also no respawns. I am not looking forward to killing trash on my way to the boss each time we wipe.

Two pieces of loot from each boss, no personal loot so you are rolling against 39 other people. Do you miss ninja looters? what about loot drama? Maybe you /roll a 100 but the officer gets the red crystal mount, because reasons.

I really like the idea of Classic, but without current QoL systems I'm very likely going to skip this. Early WoW expansions can remain as something I can reminisce fondly.

Well if this makes any sense:
difference in optimization levels of everything/cooperation now in comparison to what it was back then is significant.

People in general are just better at the game now than they were back then.
I honestly think alot of people chasing "the feeling" vanilla brought rather than the version of the game.
And that eventually will lead in to disappointment because that is just life.

This might look like i want classic to fail but i have nothing against it. Would actually give it a try to mess around.
As long as people are unable to bring old gear/rewards in to live game - we good.

I think that the feeling of Vanilla will be nigh on impossible to recreate, but for me it will be worth playing as I know how many moments in the back of my head from 13 years ago are stuck there and will be dregged up, both good and bad. There’s nothing like a slow reminisce to appreciate how different life is.

Even though as said above, grinding a whole daytime for a nights worth of raid consumables is probably not going to happen for me, time is the most valuable resource I have, I can’t buy or acquire more. And I have no idea how much I have left lol.
