skip to 1:45 for the good part. I thought this video fit well for this thread.

inspiring, to keep f2p, even after all this vets corruption there one thing a pure f2p always keeps hes pride.

well vegeta could be vet, cuz he got corrupted after all but still thinks hes f2p.

at end of the day we all know wut vets should do, kill themselves, like vegeta did.

It's not about the money, everyone agrees on 5$ being nothing.
It's about the principle. The principle that F2Ps lived on for years, the principle that made us come together as F2Ps to defeat the 24s looking for a faceroll.

It's this principle that arguably made for the existence of designated F2P-realms AND this very forum that we're posting on.
F2P-accounts offer so little, and when people speak about what it is that keeps them interested they almost always say that it's because of the community, the community that was formed based off the principle.

We used to be made up out of people ranging from those who simply wanted some free fun, to a few who played alongside us on P2P-accounts with F2P-restrictions. And everybody rightfully hated on P2Ps and felt pride in often being able to defeat them through the means of skill and teamwork, it brought us together, the common principle!
But look at the now... people splitting off for the very same reasons of the 24s and 29s. There is no doubt in my mind that if veterans were able to play at 29 that the same amount of people who enchant 20s now would be enchanting 29s then, if not more.

lol stupid f2ps, if you can afford an internet connection then you can afford 15$ a month for this game you spend so much time on

5$ is nothing, but 5$ just so that I'll have an easier time at the expense of others?

The worst part of all this is not that the F2Ps now face an even bigger disadvantage, it's that our already small community now is splitting up with a broken principle and nothing left to tie us together. We only share the level now.

Only the strongest will survive, we should thank blizzard for helping us distinct the real f2ps from the p2ps wannabe´s.

at the end of the day, level 29s go to bed happy thinking they made good use of their $15 for that month. veterans go to bed happy thinking they made good use of their %5 that one time. pure f2ps that dont complain go to bed happy thinking they made good use of their time playing a game for free even though there are a lot of limitations.

everyone that complains about level 29s, veterans, and linked p2p with heirlooms go to bed angry and frustrated that everyone else are willing to pay to remove some of those limitations that they have adapted as a law

addict alert, u should not go to bed thinking about wow, unless u are addicted to it.

cripz plis

Can't blame people for wanting activity while they pay for a game.
people who pay to play the game do want competition
But the fact is that the quality of games for F2Ps since cata is not really something to be proud of.
Let's face it, the quality of games has always been questionable in this bracket.
Could the Highly Competitive Paying Customers, who so desire quality games, which this bracket, filled with lazy underachievers who voluntarily chose not to reach the maximum of their ability, clearly can't offer, please relocate to endgame RBGS, or possibly 19s?

wait

wow is a pay to play game

people who pay to play the game do want competition

people who choose to handicap themselves and their team by not paying do not want competition; they just want something to whine about when they get stomped

ye thats why 24s and 29s came to this bracket, they heard some ppl were handicapping themselves... easy games easy epeen's.

sometimes ya gotta go with the flow with the river rather than fight it than continue with swimming upstream.

meh, i'd hate to let go of things but when life gives ya lemons with glitter on them. you sell them for x amount of money to get the goods. especially since blizz literately making this game b2p for us.

u will end up in the middle of the ocean or falling from cascade.

I do not have a sub, I can't help you here. As soon as blizzard changes the mistake they made with removing xp-lock from existing characters for veteran starter edition accounts, I'll gladly go play my 19s. Untill then I will keep playing my veteran starter account on a full level 20. So no.

How do you have time to keep track of what other people are doing with their wow accounts? I have noticed one person who has changed from F2P to vet. Aside from that I dont have the time or energy to keep track of random strangers. And I dont have time to feel grief about p2ps or vets. Im just trying to stack them HKs, but thats me.

I have been somewhat on the fence about upgrading my account to vet as i sort of agree with op in away, I spent fkn ages getting to the stage i am at now with little to no outside assistance, but the competition in bg's lately is on another level, bis f2p just cant compete, with enchants and more looms its just a reality we have to come to terms with, vet acc is par.

lol at someone said pay2play want competitive games.
Tell that to shitscale pirates and aggramarz who gy farmin ppl who just ress and stand at place.
Doing nothing. just stand.
Such competitive much wow.

You are missing point ppl! as f2p you have no rights to speak about your rights to have any rights.
Thats why they removed word "free" from name of this subforum.
The point is this. if you q in grp of 3+ ppl for random bg you are not intending play competitive. any arguments after that is a lie.

why dont you all make some rogs with elemental force and sit in stealth whole bg.
That would be fun.

There are some really good F2Ps out there.

I duelled/wargamed a Rogue on Aggramar (forgot his name now, Dancingroot, do you know who i speak of? Plays with Cuelos) the other day and it restored my faith in the bracket again. It was like a piece of grass in a desert. This guy had some really nice skill, he had really nice reactions and understand how to properly use his energy and abilities, his positioning and awareness was on point. To be blunt about it i've got experience playing against/with some of the top PvPers at end game right now and can quite easily spot someone who is good at this game. This guy could be really amazing in any bracket and id like to see him maybe try end game.

This applies for quite a few people in the bracket, its what brings me back here. I see so many great FC's who could be playing in the top RBG groups end game because of their awareness/understanding and skill at FC'ing.

The only bad thing about this bracket at the moment is these god damn "veterans". You can say what you like but its wrong and jusy dumbs the whole bracket down. Just get rid of them enchants and extra looms guys and keep the struggle just against 29's. You think you are levelling the playing field but you are just making the situation worse.

There is nothing wrong with veteran starter edition account players nor with 29s who play in this bracket. Haven't you thought about when everyone does the same, and standard starter accounts have this option too, this bracket would level the playing field in every possible way except for unbalances this game has? Standard starter edition accounts are still trial accounts with restrictions, why don't you just play the game normal instead of making the bracket worse?

See, we can turn this thing around also. But do we hate you like you hate us? no, we don't. And even if we played restricted on our subbed account, my experience tells me that you will still be hated because you simply are a former jerk to them. I played so much on Qßallqt with restricted gear and on Qßallsbro on my standard starter edition account but still got hated on. God that was no fun at all. Haters gonna hate, that wont change even if we would addapt to your wanted way of playing.

u will end up in the middle of the ocean or falling from cascade.

even if i do i can always make another trial edition account, connect it to the current one, and remake my characters (true, not as fancy as the original line up but it will be a faster process to make them like one week than compared to a month). besides I ain't looking for those enchanted glitter, I'm more on the lines for looking them x-mogs.

When I wrote the addon that pretty much allowed an F2P community to come together, it was because at that time (Cataclysm) I felt that there was merit to the argument that 24s were clearly pay to win, and that it was not reasonable to expect many players to pay a continuing subscription in order to compete with them (no, a subscription is not within the means of those minors whose state or country has laws prohibiting them from paid work, and many adults have responsibilities and commitments, such as their own children, that make a game subscription an unreasonable extravagance).

With MoP and WoD, along with a change of Lead Designer, I feel that Blizzard have made significant improvements, especially in low level PvP through the introduction of scaling. Even with a change of brackets raising the level of possible opponents from 24 to 29, I feel that scaling has more than compensated, leaving only certain class imbalances as an issue. The game is once more worth paying for.

With Veteran Edition I feel that they have provided those players who would be unable to afford the continuing subscription a means to close the gap within the 20-29 bracket to a nearly insignificant amount, for a one time cost that is reasonable at least to those living in developed countries, regardless of their age or other financial responsibilities.

Starter Edition is for new players trying the game. Reasonable F2P players transistioned to the Veteran Edition accounts made available to them.

F2P is dead.

All that's left is a few unreasonable people clinging to their damned stupid pride.

God really, you changed your opinion again about twinking, what a surprise. Defending twinking in the past then hating it cause you play f2p and now its all ok again.. gosh toil, cierona, boadegrabbel, <my main is a nineteen twink> etc etc.. for crying out loud. You change opinion so much. I really hate people letting go of their principals but atleast you can take out the feature of blocking 24s now.

Doesn't change the fact that you made a world class addon though.

I just don't see how destroying someone in 2 global's is fun for people...

I suppose it's fun to do so when you have 0 skill at this game and need some sort of self confidence. (Almost all of you. Shots fired.) I think it's a lot more fun and requires a lot more skill for a F2P to beat a P2P in a BG/Skirmish situation. It requires you to use your brain a bit more so than a P2P.
It's not. I deleted two BiS 29s. They made me ill just looking at them at login. 29s are the absolute trash of wow.
