Okay first of all, leotseddap, What I said is the point... that threads like this exist because people have differing opinions on a topic, and just because you are uncomfortable with listening to them talk out their differences rationally, and just because you very vocally disagree with the way the forums are arranged, that does not matter one whit in the larger picture, it only matters to you. No one's opinions matter to anyone but themselves. So if you don't like it, stop reading it. Don't walk into a thread where people are having a discussion and say "I don't like this discussion, all of you must stop!" The world does not revolve around your sole opinion.
Having said that, to all of you, I'm afraid if this conversation is going to go off the rails then that means it has run its course, and since we don't really want to see off-topic posts in a topical thread, the conversation is over and I'm shutting it down.
But before I go, I want to say to the last poster above me, andreasmonster, you are demonstrating the reason why we don't use the terms F2P and P2P anymore. Listen, every person who plays this game in any way, is playing by a method that Blizzard allows for and/or accepted as an outcome of their decisions. When they decided to give Starter-like status to Subscribers when they are off subscription, they knew that some Subscribers would retire and just play Veteran status... but they also knew that some off-subscription former players would be encouraged to get a taste of the game again and come back into a subscription. It's a known trade-off, that their marketing teams are more than capable of calculating, and if they did not accept the fact that people twink on Starters or Veterans, then they would make decisions that eliminated those possibilities. No one is saying that their intent was to make off-subscription twinking a thing, but they most certainly foresaw it and decided it was an acceptable trade-off for bringing back other subscribers. So just as Blizzard accepts it, so must you. I'm not going to put up with a whole lot of blatant subscriber vs nonsubscriber flame-baiting here. Blizzard tolerates it, I suggest everyone else learns to do the same.
