Is the tournament allowed to be mentioned or have a thread made on official forums?
It got deleted after a little bit last year, no?

What you can try that we used to do when we were arranging LAN's in my local area is contact steelseries, razer, roccat etc and see if they're interested in sponsoring some goodies that you can use as you see fit either for giveaways or throwing into the prizepool.

Regarding the DDos, it's odd that nobody engaged the FBI on that. People go to prison for that sort of stuff for years, especially in a tournament with multi-thousand dollars on the line. I get DDos attacked or any other felonious hack over playing this game and I'll be on the phone filing a report by the next morning. DB's aren't as anonymous as they think they are.

How would people feel about an entry fee for teams? That could add a lot of money to the pot

Old schoolers are OP, so if you were good enough to rep MYT back when twinking was much bigger and more competitive than today then you're good enough now. :) Feel free to send a message to anyone in guild and come join us if you're still on Arthas or want to return. We're putting a pretty impressive group of old schooolers together (quietly though, don't want to spook the kids as they quit when they lose enough already).

I must warn you though - when you win they'll make @ your class combo posts and use you as an example of how it MUST be bad if you can win with it! But seriously, MYT always has attracted jealous trash talk and always will. That's part of the appeal. :)

We weren't around for that - we conquered the twink world and got bored and quit. But there's always this upcoming year.
Sucks there were 20 winners - shady ppl on the bracket nowadays with the attacks and all. I'm not going to argue of school vs now being better as I'm sure our opinion differs. I'll just say 2015 is a new year and congrats on tying for first in a tourny we didn't play in because we hadn't played wow in years.

On a more serious note though, I didn't realize you were capable of talking without all caps - get a new keyboard? I queue all the time, both arena and WSG when it pops....can't expect a guy that types in all caps 99% of the time to be up to speed. Guild is currently in building stage so you'll see more of us in random places and wargames/premades coming soon. The current "best" players are weak compared to the group when twinking was a lot more popular so should be a lot of fun. :)
