It all started back in 7.3.5 blizzard introduced scaled zones and dungeons. Allowing for items to scale to your level when you were out questing, killing dungeon bosses, and world loot. Well it only takes one to wonder what kinds of rares and epics are on the loot table out in the world. It was then that the dream started to formulate. What if we could get these items scaled to our level??.... but how... epic drops are well epic. Definatly not common, and everyone who ever asked how to get the epics.... you gotta kill monsters and you gotta kills thousands.
To do this we must find ways to use the game to our benefit. That doesnt mean you need to go out on a solo killing mission. I do know people who have gotten lucky farming for hours solo to get a drop, but thats just not consistent enough for a real grind.
So friends and i started running around the world killing mobs to see how the scaling system worked, we killed mobs in every zone. What we found in 7.3.5 is that uncommons, rares, and epics always scaled to the appropriate level in silithus. It didn't take long to find the twilight base camp.
At this point we found monks farming mog items. So we just turned this method into a scaled epic farm method for 39s.
This is where i was originally finding all of my scaled epics. What was really awesome is during our testing and vetting out the loot table we found that all of the boe items from MC, BWL, & AQ had been added to this loot table. Teebus, skullflame shield, etc. Once pre-patch released Twilight geolords and avengers are no longer dying instantly. For whatever reason they are able to take damage from high level characters and not insta die, only other mobs in classic zones that are like this is the un'goro devilsaur. This is a bug and honestly everyone should file a bug report on Twilight geolord and Twilight Avengers to get them fixed.
We spent weeks in silithus farming and farming, there were a few methods i found to farm there, i would go in more detail but honestly the grind there is very slow and it already was taking a hour or so to get 1 epic to drop, now it takes about 3 - 5 times longer.
Once pre-patch hit everything changed. silithus is no longer always scaling to your level. This seems to be the new standard. or a bug was intruduced and blizzard has yet to fix it.
But no worries cause we found another spot!! So knock that dust off, and lets get going.
At the Blackrock stronghold you will find 3 big packs of mobs. a bit to the east of the small mountain is a 4th pack of mobs. All 4 packs of mobs need to be killed at the same time to cause these mobs to insta respawn. It takes 2 brewmaster monks at the 3 pack spawn. the 3rd monk sits to the side killing the 4th pack solo (but in the group). Now the 2 brewmaster monks at the 3 pack spawn should be set as follows.
So if you are like me you run multiple accounts. I just have to be able to get what i want, when i want it. But at the same time its too much trouble alt-tabbing to each window to keep rushing jade wind going. prior to pre-patch you could just use chi-orbit. so use this
