US Why choose the 70-79's?

dont wana farm for the level 70 gemmed gear. % is prob not noticeable enough to make a huge difference agaisnt skill
[doublepost=1524248145,1524248086][/doublepost]not many levelers in mop to gank. true duels are in arena

Potato, Potato i guess. Also the arena is not really a true duel either since 70-77 do not have access to the same stat bonuses from ilvl nor mastery and 70-74 has no extra talent, So i disagree largely. It's noble sparing levelers from a super unfair fight to an unfair fight though xD.

i wouldnt duel sum1 that is 70 in arena. either be 78 or higher if you wanted a true duel
[doublepost=1524248778,1524248739][/doublepost]so no1 can crutch on gear or gay bombs or w/e ppl use in fake duels lol

haha true, but i think all that stuff you farm for isnt necessarily a crutch but an advantage to hard work, kinda like your 308 blues

true, but yet again there's farmable 257s so i mean eh idk... maybe a few % advantage. any new 79 should get the 257s over boa

I still have my 78 DK with 304 Ilvl that I used to compare 78 to 79 instance pvp stats. I didn't want to level it because the gear is GF'd, but I also had no use for it because I like my 79 DK better. I might consider transferring the 78. Problem is the disparity in gear in this bracket is ridiculous, always has been and now it's even more so. I still play from time to time, but it gets boring quick. I think this may be the most OP I've ever experienced twinking. Even 72-74 dual nifflevar frost DK back in the day wasn't this OP (though it was pretty close). But maybe playing this bracket with others would make it interesting.

But games look like this way too often:

Dont get me wrong every 79 has a strong advantage but warrior has one of the biggest you just pop cds and blade storm and basically kill everyone, im a 79 twink with 308 and it brings me to 40% if not more

And 79 healers are also really strong, not only is the damage shit inside instances at 70 but now you have healers doing almost 50% more healing and dps doing 40% more damage and you’ve got yourself a really demanding obj game at 70 XD

My warrior is prot and regularly take on 3 people from full health. I really only die if they have a lot of stuns or if there are more than 3 focusing me. 1 on 1 my health barely budges because they never break my ignore pain. It’s kinda stupid.

ya, once I've seen the whole team pop cds on you including myself. you didn't dip below 98% health lmfao.

I kind of want to play dark iron dwarf, anyone have an Alliance guild going? How's shaman? What classes are top tier?
In bfa? nobody is really sure yet, i'd say it's best to wait it out if you're 70 i'd recommend that seventies show or AFK in shatt. But like i said wait it out if you're looking for a top tier class

Several videos I've watched by people with alpha or beta access have mentioned the additional GCD attached to many cooldowns, both offensive and defensive. In most cases, it seems to be either a 0.5s or a 1.5s gcd. Not a lot, numerically considered, but enough to remove the ability to macro a bunch of cooldowns together for a one-keypress burst or immunity.

While this does have some shadow side to it, I also see it as a bit of a gap widener between people who develop quick-reaction muscle-memory, and someone who just clicks or presses one thing, one time, and gets like 6-seconds of god-like power or immunity.

With the new gcd features affecting many (not all, but most) former instants across a wide field of classes and specs, I think asking about classes and specs is maybe the 2nd question to ask. The first question being, can I still play -- well, anything, really -- if I have to push more than one button for my burst/immunity window?

With still nearly 4-months to go, enough could change that even if what we might think today was rock-solid logically sound and factually based, it could still change by live release.

All that said, I think people should play what they enjoy now, and when live actually hits, poke around and see whether they still enjoy it in its new incarnation, and whether there's any other classes/specs that, in light of the actual live changes (vs. pre-live speculation), they might now also enjoy.

All that said, locks are supposed to be looking and feeling really solid so far. Even with the gcd changes, all 3 specs are being given consistently positive feedback.

I bought a Berto's Staff 308 for 1k, guessing that's BiS? I want to twink something, can't decide between 79s and 59s... or what to play
yes, as of right now it's bis. Unless there's a old mop epic weapon that now scales to ilvl 314. I can deff say 314's won't really help the people that's full 308 every slot. maybe another 1% on top of the 12 if it passes the breakpoint of ilvl. keep an eye out tho for the swag and to raise as much ilvl as you can to get near 12% as 79

yeah, no idea. I was hearing a lot about this as well and i hear warriors are gettin the worst of it all. with literally the longest gcd. i think this gcd changes on most abilities might do some good. Tbh, I was never into the "1 shot macro of having several things" in it cuz it gave players a 0.01 reaction time sometimes to react. It actually might help the game in terms of max level which imma give a shoot once the pack hits. no idea till it hits tho. all i can say is that people will have to pay attention to their cooldown management a little better around your opponent
