Is XPOff being deliberately killed?

When does the power trip end? Since this change of owners or admins or whatever it is, this site has become ridiculous. Not trying to hate! But literally, it's almost comical at this point. Twinking is already in a rough spot, no need to alienate veteran players who hold things down and turn the hub of communication and organization into North Korea. Not referencing any specific events or people, just the general vibe since changes. Not good. Hoping we can see some positive change.

Indeed. The fact that 4 Threads complaining about Selaya has been locked by Selaya with no explanation seems laughable.

Why does change in power matter at this moment? Had I not known about it at all, I'd say there was no apparent change whatsoever. Only thing happening is that people across wow are becoming less interested in twinking because of Legion's changes. The only time people seem to have a beef with the admins or mods is when people start using them as a complaint.

The community is what makes the website and brackets thrive. If more people made events and encouraged bracket development, it wouldn't be a big deal.

The unnecessary 2 week bans don't help the website and the brackets in thriving, which is why people are complaining.

How do you miss this point.

@Roboartist I agree completely, I also agree that people are less involved with WoW and twinking with the current state of the game. However, I do personally think that things are going to shit on this site, the main focus of the site is being lost, and many veteran players like myself use it less and less as a result. This is all just my opinion, but I know it is shared by some. I could get specific but my analogy literally fits the situation perfect, so I'll just stick with it. The new team here seems set on instilling a North Korea type Xpoff. This was not we set out to create when the website was made to transition from TwinkInfo, and I think it's lame that these new faces feel like they have to impose themselves on so many old heads.

I honestly haven't seen more than 10 new interesting posts in the past 2 weeks... I doubt I would have even noticed if someone banned me for that long lol.

I mean yea mate. Anyone who wants to try and argue that the site isn't beginning its death throes has their head buried in the sand. I'm not looking to start trouble, I'm just voicing it now, maybe change can be made! This site is such a shadow of what it could be, and the new regime is NOT helping; I hope that they can with a change of mindset.

"XPOFF!
They're so hot right now...
XPOFF!!"

I have to agree. I stated it before I got unmodded, after I got unmodded, and then again before I got mod back. Hehe :p

With the current state of twinks I feel like us as staff should be more laid back. We are a dying breed in a dying game.

Comes down to the administration not being able to properly judge who deserves staff positions. There are mods who have shown over and over that they cannot handle having a few extra permissions on the forums yet nothing is done about it.

Has a week past since this thread was made? Wouldn't want to forget about it earlier than most.

Whenever I see these kinds of threads I wonder what are you all doing here. People who just discuss twinks in a respectable manner never have problems like this.
Agreed.

Then again, I tend to keep things twink related.

Well, part of the issue that caused most of the crackdown on regulations and rules was that people were treating it as if it was a meme site.

That, and an egregious ignoring of TOU and constant flaming. In my opinion, all that did was lead to a toxic community.

no need to alienate veteran players
So the entire Community, including any new Players coming here to learn about Twinking, should "Tolerate" the old Veteran Players (many of whom are toxic dbags) for what reason, status quo?

EDIT: It's really simple, don't be a dick and you don't get Banned/Warned/etc. How is this a difficult concept?

It's not a difficult concept, it's just not a good one. Censorship to that level is not seen on any gaming forum, anywhere. Being a dick and talking shit is a part of the game, simply put, especially being twinks.

XPOFFs only issues right now is that the user base isn't generating events and loads of content like it has in the past, everything else is people not being able to put their finger on the issue so defaulting blame to those in charge, statistical metrics are all in check, emotions and critical thinking not so much, no disrespect to OP but it seems unbundantly clear to me.
