I also started playing Ultima Online when I was 7, EQ when I was 9. Was doing my fair share on IRC by 11 ish, and coding in BASIC at 12.

But you can believe what you want.

You guys do realize though, back in days past, even kids learned to program in BASIC on their Vic 20s and Apple ][s? Growing up with family members who did such and passed such on is a beautiful thing.
