your really smart broWhile we all jest about how WoW can be played on a potato, it actually has fairly common system requirements for Video Games today and runs like complete garbage on older systems. That said, this will never happen due to the Engine WoW is built with. They can't even change the Backpack because of how outdated the Engine is.
Further from that, the USA, among a few other Countries, doesn't have the Internet backbone to run MMO's with exceptionally high Graphics. All one has to do is look to BDO to see that. ESO is another good example. That Game COULD look even better than Skyrm 4K (modded) but everyone's FPS would drop to shit. We're just not there yet with the Internet to have MMO's that look like high end Single Player Games on Gaming Rigs.
I'd love to be educated as to precisely how "National Network Infrastructure" is crippling the "3D-Rendering Capabilities" of our video-cards...[...] the USA doesn't have the Internet backbone to run MMO's with exceptionally high Graphics.

I'll take quality content and fun gameplay over fancy graphics anyday.
Definitely agree. The current graphics don’t really bother me. It would just be nice if everything was up to Legion and BfA standards. Also I really like WoW’s cartoonish style myself.
Ah, so the USA's Internet is so good in your mind that it should have zero issue playing the upcoming "Witcher 3 MMO" on Ultra? Ok I'll admit there is no such thing as the Witcher 3 MMO but my point is valid. Playing WoW on Ultra with 100 FPS in Merica doesn't remotely mean we have a fantastic Internet backbone here. My example of BDO is the perfect point. It doesn't have the FPS problems in Korea like it does here and in most of the "Western World". Granted South Korea tends to rank #1 on the Planet for Internet speed while the USA often doesn't even get into the top 10.I'd love to be educated as to precisely how "National Network Infrastructure" is crippling the "3D-Rendering Capabilities" of our video-cards...
...please continue.
What @tence said. Blizzard has repeatedly said they cannot REPLACE the tired old Backpack due to the Game's Engine. Adding 4 slots, while a tiny QoL addition, is laughable.Ummmmmmm......

But yes I’d love better graphics. I’d be happy if everything just looked like BfA zones though..
Forgive my incompetence... but there appears to be something wrong with my browser.Ah, so the USA's Internet is so good in your mind that it should have zero issue playing the upcoming "Witcher 3 MMO" on Ultra? Fortunately, that's no longer necessary... now that you've enlightened me, I understand how solving my struggles with "volumetric" lighting and "advanced" dynamic shadows doesn't require my upgrading to a "high end gaming rig". I can just carry my current rig to Korea! This is gonna' be the best summer ever!Still, I'll bite, show me an MMO with graphics, including Volumetric Lighting and advanced dynamic Shadows, even of the quality of The Witcher 3 (a 2015 Game) that would play on ultra in the USA, UK, France, etc, at ~100 FPS on a high end Gaming Rig...

Don’t ruin this. You think the graphics in an online game are streamed from the server rather than stored client side?
