on RUIN battlegroup it wasn't a issue until the XP on/XP off patch killed twinking on other battlegroups. then came the huge RUIN migration. and AFKing was rampant back then. that huge guild Fishin Buddies was notorious for it, not only were they working that achieves, many of them were preserving/stoking their stats. drayner had a player in FB's as did many still on this forum. i remember drayner commenting and being pissed off about being left in a BG cause most the FB's AFK'd and didn't think it was funny. i would have them come up to my player and flaming me, saying i'm a noob. i would ask// they would say look at my stats compared to yours....you are a loser etc etc. i would laugh..

FB's asked some in my guild to premade with them once, on first ally cap they afk'd, we stuck with it, alliance got 2-0, we got drop ins and actually turned the game and won.

overall majority of FB's where trash and alot of them still play, FB was a huge 19 twink guild they had like 230+ level 19's at their peak, and a true twink guild in that only 4-5 players in that guild used for running players were 70+

i don't remember pizza on RUIN back in 2007, my first recollection of the player was as a Troll female hunter around end of BC/WotLK start up. i do remember the AFKing that started back then around that time but was not exclusive to pizza, but i do remember that when pizza/horde disappeared and all of a sudden next game a NE female hunter on alliance side would appear in the next game with the same exact play style and it wasn't named pizza/alliance like it is now. that was one of the first players i noticed win rolling. now it is evident cause both players are the same name barring use if map/asci letters. pizza was smarter than the players with one twink paying for faction changes to be on winning sides. pizza just got noticed more than other players and singled out and commented on.

also at back then 19's where able to do arenas, many players would be duel qued. let's say the arena que popped while in a bad WSG, it was easy to say i wasn't AFKing but going to arena which i'm putting more priority into. but that is gone and now AFKs are evident and hard to explain away. in 29 bracket players used to duel que if WSG was going bad, and they got a AB pop...boom gone and vice versa. that system is also gone. now once you enter a BG your other ques drop and those who AFK are obvious

many players do the same things and have gone even farther, they may have 4 horde and 4 alliance 19's and switch back and forth based on who they see is winning. some are easy to tell like confidentyo, confidentpal, confidentfoo, confident etc etc. same goes with hitthere and those variations. but they pay to play and can do what ever they want.

Yea FB was not like that. Drayner got mad at FB when Wuvz took off his pants used his consumable mount and rp walked down the tunned and into the flag room. People from FB were very far from elitist / afkers. It was really a guild that was about having fun did not care about wins or losses. In the premade you speak of which was the Premade that caused FB to fall apart was when we had a Drunk guy show up and attempt to play (name not released) one of our players did not even enter que because he knew it was going to be bad, then this drunk guy proceded to scream at everyone in vent and caused most players to leave the bg and get off in anger at the certain player. That is the only incident of "AFKing" in FB and it was for a reason. Not the way you put it at all

It's attitudes like that, that helped get this bracket into the position it's in. Not intended as an insult to you, but every 19 should be doing what they can do too improve things in this bracket. If a 19s not even willing to agree too not AFK in a match, for the sake of the survival of this bracket, than they don't deserve the privilege of being a member of this community and are a plague too everyone in it. =D

Yeah like this thread is about occasional afks that arent related to being farmed or some real life event came up during game. Yeah its all about those constant distractions.

I intentionally made what i said a bit extreme, I was only partially serious, however my statement did have some truth too it.

These WSG matches that your talking about aren't going to become fun unless some issues are fixed, this is just one of many, and honestly I don't think the "every person counts" rule is applicable to anything in life, including WSG, so you're free to do whatever you want without any negative opinions on my part towards you personally (tho i'd be kind of funny if you cared about that). I will blame the general group of AFKers, hence my use of the word "they" and not "you"
