only tme i afk is when either team have 6+ hunters/rogues or 3+ sub 1k hp idiots. idc if my team is the one with 6+ hunt ill still afk cause im there for good games not games where 6 hunters jus rape mid entire game or one team Gy farms and i could care less if people get mad at me about afking i pay for this game to have GOOD games not what i said above.

glad we don't have this in europe, it sounds kinda childish on their side. i can fully understand afk'ing, if you get camped/flamed/is not enjoying the game, but "its the PuGs' losing! bwaaah!" is the equivalent of a 5-year old stomping his feet and shouting "HE STARTED IIIIIT!!"..

these kids figure they're top notch, skill capped, real diamonds in the rough, and simply cbf taking a hit to their ego representing the inferior trash that is their pug team. so they swap factions to get their marbles off from border-line graveyard camping whichever team is weaker at the time.

oh what really get's their rocks off is when they are privileged enough to camp a named player or two. "HOHOHO BOY he/ they GOT SOOOO OUTPLAYED, god we're good" /commence circlejerk.

In all honestly it's not really how things are being perceived by this thread. The people that I have been noticing afk games, say after one cap, are actually unknown to me. I don't know what is pushing them to do this, whether they believe they would look better with a better ratio or don't want to be in a ss, I don't know. It is one thing when people afk when it's a complete faceroll and their team is getting gy farmed or even if it's right before a loss, but lately it has been so much sooner and there is no group of people or names you can really point out these days. Even when games that have stayed 0-0 and heated the entire time people will start to afk for no reason, and again no names I could say I specifically recognize. So I guess what it comes down to is you really can't shun people when it is so random and this time it is not WT.

There's a huge difference between leaving when you're getting camped and leaving after the first cap that everyone worked their asses off for for 5-10+ minutes. After the first cap in a game like that the other two caps are a joke because so many people have left. I can't speak for others but I can't help but feel stripped of my victory like it never happened or stripped of the opportunity to make an epic comeback and it's really making this bracket a lot less fun for me.

It would be a waste of time to throw out names of the people primarily doing this and setting a bad example as the "community leaders". Everyone knows who these people are, and many know the names of followers.

Like I said before this community is very small and many of us have been here a long time. Being one of these people, and you being another, I can't help but feel disgusted that you act completely naive to this and have no clue what's going on. I'm not saying it's you or WT as a whole, I havn't seen you in enough games to form that opinion.

Sounds alot like Pizza and his buddies to me. How ironic.

I'm not saying it's you by the way; I have played enough games against you to know that you don't do the same thing as them.

We all know who it is, it's the same people every time. I seem to have a problem with biting my tongue and speaking my mind here, so I'll start the call-outs. Coincidentally, a lot of these people have wound up on the best-of list thread. Maybe people think they're the best because they only see them sticking around in winning stacked games? Who knows.

Pizza, Curley, Kancer, Ko, Tence, Sloppyheals, Saxx, Sodawater, Stunna, Kitn, Craycray, Casino

I could go on if I really cared more to pay attention further. Bunch of crybabies in this bracket who bail on the first cap from the opposite team. Play because it's fun, play because you enjoy it. If you're losing to a stacked team, then who cares? Put on a pretty dress and dance on a stump while it ends quickly, queue up and try again. Don't you ever get bored of getting 1 game every 30 minutes or so?

I can't say I've never afk'd out of games. I only do it when the above players decide to start farming us after 2 caps when they could easily win the game in minutes with little resistance. But ffs, have a feel for competition and stop crying about your win/loss ratio.

Feel free to delete this post and report me as you see fit.

Even when the games are incredibly close once the first flag is capped half of the losing team leaves.

This "fad" is so much worse than I remember it being months ago.

I can understand if people leave because they are or are on the brink of being graveyard camped, but come on... the spirit of competition is non existent because there are too many people in every game, every day of the week, doing this.

What for? What exactly is being farmed here? Popularity? What good is a really really ridiculously good looking win/loss ratio when EVERYONE you've ever played with knows it's duped and hates you for making the bracket suck because you're an egotistical puke that can't handle being beaten? Not saying anyone specific...

Tell me if I'm wrong, but if everyone had the option to check or un-check this box:

[ ] never play with a win/loss ratio farmer again.

The extreme majority would be more than happy to check the crap out of that box.

Inb4 thread deletion and possible ban for speaking the truth, son.

Didn't you lose in a deletion duel to Jealousy?

I have never heard that name before and I wouldn't agree to a deletion duel in the first place, lol.

Many of you guys know me pretty well and there comes a time where ill bail a WSG because it is hopeless. I don't remember ever leaving after the first cap though, thats just pathetic. I havn't been playing much lately but i remember a few weeks ago i logged on and i don't remember if it was Sneaky or Tril that invited me and we queued into a 0/1 game. We had 5 people get into a game at the same time (lolafkers) and to come back and win that gulch was some of the most fun ive had in WSG in awhile. Too many games recently have been 1 cap-afks and people seem to forget that the best ones to win are the ones that are hard to win. I think i have a quote for y'all if i could find it real quick :p

"If you don't invest very much, then you won't lose very much, and winning isn't very exciting." - Dick Vermeil

I do not normally queue up with a lot of people and roll WSGs, ask the people that have invited me- i'll bail after 1 or 2. Why bother queuing up if you intend on the game being a faceroll.

Hope to get some good games going soon, see you in the gulch!

I'm sorry if my earlier post was a bit ambiguous Ciren or made it seem like I was trying to intentionally avert blame. What I meant more or less is that it's not just known people that are afking these days, it's actual new or unfamiliar community members. Maybe it is our fault and because of the games that we tend to leave sometimes when they no longer seem competitive (aka being farmed), we are inadvertently leading by a wrong example. So maybe the way to fix the problem would be to, as you said, express our dislikes to them about the situation, and of course make sure to hold off on the afks when we can. :)

A ton of people afk these days - no use assigning blame to any individual(s) or group, at this point.

It was me...remember that was the game where we talked about how many consumables we use in each WSG. That was the best game I had in a while.

it's defiantly a very popular trend now... i doubt at this point anyone will give a shit if a public announcement is made saying this is frowned on...

i hate to leave this bracket, i've been a part of it for so long... but literally no other bracket has such a strong vibe of not giving a shit about putting effort in when things get a little rough.

It started with Pizza, wanting to have the best Win/Loss of any twink. Then it developed into him and his crew AFKing if they lost to pugs and stuff so they wouldn't be included into the screen shot. I mean Pics or didn't happen right?

Moral of the story, stick it out and play.

Yea, this whole afk-ing crap is getting a bit too Trendy.

If you're sincere, i'm not trying to embarrass anyone or take a shot at anyone's ego, but it would mean a lot if Pizza would address this issue with the support of your other guild mates. Because a lot of the kids look up to him and follow his example.

I think it's time to prove that the so-called "community leaders" aren't just "the cool kids" and are actually respected as leaders by the community by turning an extremely negative impact made on the bracket into a very positive one.

Do that, people will notice, and you will earn infinity respect by saveing this bracket. And possibly make a much better impression to newcomers when they see the quality of the games taken place and thus EXPANDING.

Edit: I always have more stuff to add after...
