what the hell do you guys do on your twinks

dungeon qs take 20-30 mins to pop and bgs take longer to pop what the hell are you guys doing, i miss the days when you could q for a bg at 3 in the morning and have 5-10 min bg pops.

outside of @Life organizing pvp events there really is not much to do with retail twinks anymore

are you an achievement hunting pure f2p account if so i can see how that could be fun, but if you are a vet you could just farm on a higher lvl toon and it would be way faster and easier
 
So I created a level 10 MW twink to get certain TW gear. Specifically, dungeon drops in Chromie Time, which aren't so easy to get.

11.0.5 is killing TW gear so there's really no point in this toon anymore. Plus they got nerfed in the TWW prepatch (WoD warforged drops went from ilvl 56? to 29).

I do have a level 30 paladin I've been twinking just because it's fun to fill him up with ICC gear and SL gems, like healing for 40-50% health every 10 seconds. I'm working on Shadowmourne and Thunderfury but it's taking awhile.

What will I do with it? So even though the 11.0.5 TW changes will mean the end of TW gear, it will be a boon for twinks because the same gear twinks get will still be OP in TW when it's level-appropriate.

Im purely f2p, too brokie to pay a sub. And no I'm not hunting for achievements strictly. Moreso just vibing ig, getting whatever floats my fancy.
I also like to finish entire quest lines of each expansion, so far i've finished WoD, Legion and TBC. (The possible ones at my level at least or arent bugged with OP mobs to kill)
 
RP. RP is great. It's a very self-sufficient source of content that never dries out.

Outside of that questing, exploring, getting some nice transmogs, some mounts, cool pets or funny toys is always an enjoyable time.

Trying out different classes, specs or talent setups for the hell of it.

Trying to level up professions to maybe find an useful or just amusing new recipe.

RP. Did I already said that ?

The occasionnal PvP though as you said, queues aren't exactly popping left and right.

Writing guides, that does take some time.

Just wandering around the world appreciating the work the art/music team put in the game.

I'm not into achievement hunting, never really have been but I managed to get to 6700 points back in early DF before I subbed for the first time. Prolly would be around 7K now if I stayed f2p, maybe more idk.

I'm hoping TW dungeons will be fun or offer any special loot. We'll see.

Searching for out-of-the-way places, hidden lakes, houses, whatever. Made a lot easier by flying, mostly useful for RP.

Free To Play is a state of mind.
You are in control of what you do and achieve. You are free unlike some 29 graveyard farming goons who unable to comprehand its existance without a battleground or arena to ruin.

  1. Proffesions to never think about enchants, gems or any other consumable ever again on your entire account.
  2. Work towards building a solid material collection of few thousands of each crafting material to sit on like a dragon.
  3. Work towards unlocking more account wide tabs.
  4. Create & gear more alts for the sake of it.
  5. Ensure every alt has full crafted 30+ slot bags and use bag addons to find layout you like (skip bank as it will be replaced in future).
  6. Full upgrade to garrison, folowers, buildings to 25+ alts to cready few k blood cards each week for free.
  7. Find what mounts are possible to get for you that you missing.
  8. Work on setting up solid foundation for your UI and Macro layout for every spec of every class you got. Ensure any future spell/talent changes are easily negated by copy pasting settings from your primary alt for that class. Look in to Myslot addon.
  9. Look in to valuable boe drops to collect and sit on it like a dragon on gold pile.
  10. Go look at entire uncollected tmogs for every armor type to see what you want to have at any point in future and work on that.
  11. Get addon TransmogOutfits and TransmogRoulette and spend hours building hundrets of tmog sets for different classes.
  12. Work on getting the most of travel log every month.
  13. Go after toys you wish to get.
  14. Finish quests for achivements, story and tmog. Next patch retroactively add every single tmog from any quests you ever done.
  15. Place 30+ alts at the entrence of caverns of times to prepare for next patch.

I know that if I kept my sub up I'd feel compelled to play just to get my money's worth. Keeping some free 20s means I can hop on whenever I feel like playing and then put the game down just as easily. Basically I think because I'm a filthy casual and twinking let's me embrace that.

When I do log I'm pretty solidly a PvE twink. Reps, professions, questing, and various accountwide goodies. Queued PvP is reliably a dumpster fire, and organized PvP requires getting involved when I again just want to be a filthy casual.
 
I just sit in a major city clicking on one end game character to another, i often inspect them or hover over their health pool and drool. Then i just like walk and jump at the same time or just jump up and down on the same spot. Sometimes a dung pops and I can flex how good I am in in some shite levelling dungeon, I often see people in the group have me as their target rather than the mobs and I know they are inspecting me thinking "what the hell is happening, he is amazing", I sleep very well if that happens on a run.

Oh and sometimes I come on here and join in the threads when people are talking about how "Twinks are back" "19's are back baby" etc and shite like that, its amazing being a twink, long live xpoff.
 
Arenas pop quite often ive come to find out on retail 20-29 / mostly pvp on newer twinks all my old ones are retired / Mount Hunting / Endlessly trying new builds
 
We do whatever the hell we want, so to speak (and pardon my French). As SPQR said, our options are limited more by what we set for ourselves than anything. Me? I parkour on my DH, PVE, explore, and fish.
 
Gold farming
You can make an evoker, exit the starting cave, and then fly and kill the golden frog rare for ~700g, all in under 5 min. No sub required.
Also, proffesions, I mean....only DF proffesion alone will eat you alive, not to mention the knowledge points system,old world proffesions, etc.
 
I mostly bounce around from twink to twink of various levels and farm specific pieces each one needs. Yesterday I got a socket proc on the leather belt from Slave Pens for my OG 20 Druid! The toons are trophies now with pvp mostly dead.

Mog hunting is another favorite past time. There’s also max level stuff to do…

On EU we sometimes have instant BG que from 20:00 to 23:00. And then there is allways hanging out in Goldshire ofc. Other then that farming 22 stat rings with gem and 3gem head/belt.

honestly this post makes me want to be a pure f2p, i might try to gear up my rogue on my pure f2p acc
