US What is going on?

I am hoping and praying every day Legion brings back fun to the bracket but i have a bad feeling..

Well I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised by how this site looks and since I wasn't aware of xpoff before the merge I see it as a design improvement.
However, as a representative of the f2p bracket, I also notice the lack of valuable content from the TI forum. Like it was mentioned above - lists of gear scaling, f2p addon info, link to f2p and vet folk etc.

I have to say that at this current time I am in the works of a horde character (eu) and haven't made a final decision which bracket to join. Either 19 or 20 or 29. I was leaning more towards a 20 vet, but then seeing that things aren't going too well for 20s I might cap at 19 then.

Anyway, thanks for bringing the topic up and I'm glad that people still play this bracket and big thanks to everybody who contributed or is now contributing to the 20-29's sake. I'm sure in few months with Legion out a whole lot of people will come back and since it is not too far from being released, may be some will join earlier to get prepared.

Cheers

Totally agree. I keep checking for a quality 20s vet post but am let down just about every day. 29s section is a little more active but I haven't seen a quality discussion thread in a very long time... Legion should help tremendously though since all classes are getting a major update in spells and abilities.

I disagree, however, with 20s bracket activity dying off. The quality games are still there. Queue times can be long at times but it helps to know when everyone logs on. There is always at least 1 game running past 5 o'clock central time on the weekdays and 12 o'clock on the weekends. There is always one game a day that has me sweating bullets that our team may or may not pull through. A couple games tbis past week horde had (quite literally) a last second cap to win the game that had me going crazy about. Some games are a faceroll, some games are a savage beatdown. But a lot of games are still extremely competitive that shouldn't be overlooked. I feel as though the bracket has remained mostly the same since MoP, people just enjoy the nostalgia of past more than what is happening presently.

20s will be reborn. As long as the queues keep popping there will still be activity around. We as a whole have stepped back, because most of the 20s have made a team called STARTER for 19s (The ones who actually organized events, at least). I will get back to organizing 10v10s every two weeks, sometimes every week. Even for Free to Play accounts.

Come Legion if exp on merges with exp off then a lot of brackets could come back into fruition. Having exp on paired with exp off will essentially bring a similar standard of pug games across the board. Given that the 19 bracket is the sister bracket of 29s and with the abilities that 29s will have compared to 19s, it is possible that the 29 bracket could become the main bracket in Legion. Not to take anything away from 19s, the abilties alone will make 29s even more enticing over f2ps/vets then what they are now.

Come legion 20s will rise again and make 29s cry off. A lot of 20s went off into 29s or 29s and they just kinda give up on 20s. Manny and Robby needa start doing those real id games they used to set those up almost 5 times a week and that kept games competitive

A bracket shouldn't have to depends on just a few people here or there to set up games, events, ect. To keep a bracket thriving you have to use team work. Look at the success 19s are having. As a group they have kept the bracket active since the last TC, that hasn't happened before.

Maybe this bracket could learn a thing or two from them.

Yes but they also have the core 19 players for everyone to follow them and without core leaders in 20s then People get lost

This bracket has had plenty of core people come and go. People don't take advantage of other people wanting to help this bracket succeed.

Gotta agree with Burg. 20's have had plenty of leaders since Cata who aren't around anymore, or aren't as active as they originally were. Hasn't really been an issue until recently.

But, on the other side, there weren't quite as many 3-5 man Brewmaster teams around back then.

There is always going to be people coming and going in the game that's just the game. But the masses don't listen to some new player that just joined the game even if he's "good" the competition is a big popularity contest people get in guilds with the well known people so the can one day have a chance at being that one "pro" player, see if someone like me tried to start a event or tournament not as many people will attend because I'm not as known as someone like Lenny or Robby or you. In each bracket we have unofficial leaders, people like manny and Lenny for the f2ps and people like Burg for the vets. When leaders give up on something that means the people believe the bracket is over. Yea I get it you guys want to play 19s for more competition but I mean instead of desertering your bracket as a whole at least help. Like Someone like Conq he doesn't play that often but he is still a big part of the whole 19s bracket. People need to know that we still can turn the bracket around but you guys really need to help do it. Yea fotm is annoying but counter it by going ham on your 20s and showing the fotm the 20s still and always will be superior to the rest.

Wow, I cant belive I didnt even think about this. With enchants being removed in pvp and gear might not be a big factor anymore, they could end up merging the exp on and exp off. If they do this it would be amazing, as you said a lot of brackets would become active again, definitely looking forward to seeing if they do implement this.

Still gonna take months for the noob 29s to learn how to use those lmao

Depends on damage those spells will end up doing. cant see anything being op for long time if hp/dmg scales down proportionally from endgame.

Merging xp off and on brackets would be absolutely horrible. Sure you could play any bracket but they would just be 90% filled with levelers. Since gear is leaning towards not being prevelant, you wouldn't really be a twink. The whole twink community is pretty small and its best we stay grouped into one / two bracket at most so the quality and community is still together. Ever since the split of the xp on and off the twink community became fun and competitive.
