Hi!
These are confusing times for all of you, what with actually considering F2P and vet twinking after years of mocking us as "failed 2 pay" or telling us to get jobs or generally being a dick when blizzard took away stuff we liked like portal rooms and emotes. "hurr durr, for 50 cents a day you can /dance".
But whoopsydaisy now the only way to can get BGs without having to put any effort in to grow a community is by turning your sub off. So here you are. It's easier to stomp levelers than to learn how to not be toxic long enough to convince other people to play with you.
Not surprisingly, you have questions. Lemme help you out!
Whats the difference between all these free styles of play?
Damn, that sounds too good to be true, whats the catch?
Wait wait, but what about vets?
So how come I can PvP with levelers!?
How do vets/F2P do in pvp?
What class should I play?
Cool, where can I learn more?
The Vet forums - tons of good info here including THIS THREAD on what to do before your sub runs out
The F2P forums Guide Section - Specific guides for things to do if you're not gonna be a lame vet
A Rookies Guide To Starter Accounts - A youtube playlist created by yours truly that covers all the basics for those of you bold enough to choose the awesome life of the F2P (but also has relevant info for everyone. Its also a lot politer than this post)

Theres 3 main approaches. One is to go Vet, which is an account that USED to have game time but no longer does (this is as good a place as any to note that vet accounts will have access to any allied races you had previously unlocked. INSTATWINK!). The other is to go "linked F2P", which is creating a new WoW account on your existing BNet account (no idea why youd do this) but everything transfers over. Mounts, pets, heirlooms, achievements, xmogs, etc. If you'd do this though, why wouldnt you just go vet? Anyway...
Realheads, dudes who can grow facial hair and people who arent cowards, however, play pure free to play. This is a brand new Bnet account and brand new wow account. You are starting from square one. No gold, no heirlooms, no mounts, no achievement points. Nothing.

You got alot of restrictions. Biggest being you cant level past 20. You cant level professions past 100. Cant use the mailbox, cant use the AH, cant trade, cant whisper, cant emote, cant invite to group, cant carry more than 10 gold, etc.
Because of this there are some secondary "restrictions" thats arent formal restrictions. Bag space is gonna be limited. If you cant learn the enchant at 100 yourself, you cant put it on your gear. If you cant make the gear or get it to drop yourself, you cant use it. Fishing in high level zones is rough. etc etc etc.

Yea, so heres how that works. Since vet accounts have access to any character level 20 and under, you just make a level twenty, gear and enchant the shit out of it and then let your sub run out. Now, you have all the free AND dual crusader on your fury warrior.
While you have game time, you can level professions to 300, and generally do all the things game time lets you do. But once that sub runs out, youre on F2P restrictions and that includes professions. You can still use your engineering gear but you cant MAKE anymore. You cant enchant your gear with high level enchants, etc.
Vets do also get two other forms of communication. Bnet chat can be accessed in game (pure f2p has to alt tab) and if your were in a guild when your sub ran out, you get g chat AND any new toons you make can be invited to that guild.

Because both F2P and Vet are level capped by trial status, not by turning their XP off. Vet twinks are gonna have to turn their XP back on before their sub runs out to get to pvp, but pure F2P always has experience on. So you're in the XP on que.
Better than ok. Actually, really good. Even against 29s, vets were more than capable. Not even sure why yall are asking this. If your forum posts are to be believed, you could beat these levelers with half a keyboard while blindfolded. So dont sweat it, big guy. Youll do fine.
All of them? Whatever you like? You're not here because you care about being a contributing member on a competitive wargames team. Youre here to play pvp without having to worry about things like que times and geared or skilled opponents. So play whatever class you want. Properly geared, itll perform better than 99% of the FotM leveler rerolls. Learn to enjoy yourself again!
