Ehh I got nothing but time. Will just grab the shoulders from rare and maybe go with master engineer helm. Forgot that the reason 29s might want helm is because it scales up to 41.
I don’t think lvl 20 helm from rare would out stat master engineer goggles. Correct me if I’m wrong

The master engineer goggles are Stam/vers. Feathered headdress is int/vers. But I still don't think it works better than green lens

Right, I just meant if you consider how much each int weighs out into vers and conspiring. But that’s probably best option then huh. Green lens

you are wrong. the main stats rewarded by master engi goggles is only 8 or so. the epic headdress, at level 20, is 11 agi/int and the 10 int on it turns into about 4 agi/int.
Edit: but yes, for casters, green lens is superior if you are vet of course

Interesting, as it's technically a quest. I have a few days game time left so I may try this. They are good shoulders as blue, would be quite nice as purple!

I do not believe these will go epic as they do not follow the scaling system at all. there is req 20 ilvl 25 cloaked shoulders (and etc) and that is all. if they follow the scaling system all of a sudden now then the story's different

As someone who really only really wants to progress my character and play capture the flag and in general doesn't particularly care for achieves/tmog/mounts hunting how big a deal is the link/pure f2p? I already have an old trial account linked to my bnet from last time I played and wasn't sure if i wanted to make a new one
Last time I played F2P my favorite part of it was how the gear progression worked. You'd quest and dungeon to get your starting set but then you'd have to grind DMF and BGs to buy your BiS heirlooms or farm chests for those rare BoEs. Is there any semblance of this left after this patch and the addition of the heirloom tab?

Well heirlooms are no longer bis outside of trinkets. BUT you still get your starter set (for lack of a better term) and then grind out bis from loot crates you get from winning BGs. So I guess that progression still kind of exists?

Ok so.... I know I asked about BoA scaling in BG with you, but about enchants - I know those do, at least at higher levels.
Point being, make sure your enchants are based on their value at 29 and not only 20. Some are quite different.
Please correct me if i'm wrong about this at 20-29, but I know for a fact they have at 60-69 cuz I tested for someone.

And you can see that there's differences at 29 for some that are the same at 20. It might not be fully updated yet, tho.
edit- also... not saying this to squeeze every single stat point you can out of a "free" twink, just that many enchants are being gouged to hell on the AH and you might be able to get the same values for much less gold.
