We all know Hunters are OP... are they the best duelers though?

They have concussive shot, distracting shot, pet CC and disengage. If they're close enough to wingclip, they're doing something wrong. Wingclip is a relic from when hunters had to turret to attack and getting in their dead zone meant they no longer could.

I still use it alot when melee is chasing my FC and CC is on CD or when chasing EFC myself and keeping the healers slowed at different speed than the EFC. Most will keep running and get split from their healers and will get killed.

Yes, it certainly has its situational uses, but it's hardly surprising that it doesn't get used very often now.

-no cd

-10 seconds of cc

-no dr's (pet stun has most noticable dr)

-melee range (counters rogue ambush or used when efc going down and you want return)

-can cc multiple people quickly for peeling

it's so versatile, i don't know why anyone decent would consider it to be a "relic". it's hardly surprising that it doesn't get used now because 95% of hunters don't even know how to shoot people while not holding down S.

if hunters want to be good at kiting multiple people, they need to use wingclip.

I don't think hunters that want to live very long make a habit of getting into melee range in an attempt to CC people. Don't get me wrong, it certainly has its place, but it's not used very often compared to the myriad of other options available.

i remember literally wingclipping like 5 people and not getting killed and then their fc is separated or our fc is safe or some other thing happens where the constant slow is detremental to the enemy team's progress. and you can keep wingclipping them all day while using other **** like scatter and conc and explosive shot and ranged autoattacks in between

1v1 wingclip isn't that great, but 1v2 (or 1vX) it is excellent.. and in teamfights it is very useful

wing clip is almost useless to hunters without trinkets or anti venom (me and any stating hunter) in this bracket, it is perfect for maybe 1v2 if those 2 include 2 warriors, if its against a caster capable class then forget it, getting out of range will take to long they will nuke you down before you get out of range. Against rogues is useless with their poisons,ss,trinkets. Wingclip is good if you have some anti venom and or a trinket.else you wont be able to get away after that initial disengage a rogue will just shadowstep (because most of them are sub rogues) appear behind you and slow you down unless you have a trinket or anti venom.

I have wingclip bound twice on my hunter, 1 regular wing clip bind and 1 that's macro'd into disengage..

Not surprised your run-of-the-mill F2P hunter doens't use it though, they're too busy s-keying.
