I was being sarcastic . Guardian num 1 by miles . On the other hand I can't tell you the number of times my totems have eaten a explosive shit for me .Nature's can be casted while you are eating a stun, neither of the others can.

One of the frailties of shaman is they can be nature locked. Thus locking them out of almost all of the defensive and offensive spells. Fortunately non of the talents get locked out.Rogues shouldn't beat any healer 1v1, crazy battleground circumstances notwithstanding.
RSham is kind of a momentum healer, in my opinion. This is more of an arena environment observation, but I think some of it applies to Battlegrounds.
Since Resto Shamans are so excellent at countering other healers, they work best with cleave teams that rely on steamrolling another team before they have time to get counter play. Shear for casts, purge for hots/shields, dispel for defensive CC, defensive CD's that allow you to out-tank the dps of an enemy healer for a short period of time.
However, if the Rsham's DPS get shut down and the healing output is put into question, Rshams begin to fall off hard.
Tl;Dr - Restoration Shamans are a very offensive healer.

Astral Shift - Spell - World of Warcraft really is not all that great for PvP because is you can't predict with 100% accuracy incoming damage preemtively.
Stone Bulwark Totem - Spell - World of Warcraft on the other hand is great for spell power stackers because it is increased as a direct result of your spell power. And has been constantly been getting buffs on each and every patch since it's inception. It is also great for players that do not mind using CDs, For which the shaman class is very heavily dependent upon as they level.
And finally, Nature's Guardian - Spell - World of Warcraft , is great for stamina stackers. It too, has gotten better since it was introduced back in 4.0. It used to be terrible for PvP if you PuGed prior to 5.0. But with it's improvements it can be the go to choice for many players that like it's "set it and forget it" feature. It is practically a free heal after all.
Depending on the opponents it may be best to carry some Vanishing Powder - Item - World of Warcraft. It is relatively inexpensive and easy to acquire. That way you can xhange your talents any time you choose.
Have a safe Memorial Day!

In reference to the analysis that was depicted above, I did not render it strictly for any particular forum or subforum. There is no mention of trials, subscribers, special enchants or anything in which that no player has access. In fact, there is very little if no opinion at all involved in the analysis. I gave the palpability of each talent left it for the audience to decide which they choose is best for them.
