Veteran guides / threads - Why are they in the F2P section

Just want to throw a few things in here regarding my experience. First off I was not able to apply scrolls I had made before I went inactive after I became a vet. Ie, my lvl 20 priest could not apply earthern vitality to boots, haste to gloves, versatility to ring, etc. I have heard some people were able to, but I was not and when spoke with a GM they thought it might be because I could not use scrolls that required more than lvl 100 enchanting, our veteran prof cap, to make. My char DID NOT HAVE LVL 100 ENCHANTING WHEN TRYING TO APPLY SCROLLS. Idk if that makes a difference.

Second, on another character in veteran mode I lvled enchanting on that char from 1 as a vet and could not create lesser health. It gave me a "trial accounts cannot perform this action error." Spoke with a GM, they had no idea why.

Lastly, I went about getting all the gear I needed for all my chars to be enchanted. Then filled my bags and ran random instances on a few characters, thus giving me mail from the Postmaster. I opened a ticket to get my mail and was given 2 days of game time to get my mail. And thus, allow me to use the scrolls I had and get a few more.

Should stay in this section imo, or if people are really getting that upset about it (?!?!), a vet sub forum in this section much like the guides and rate a twink sub forums above. DON'T think they/we should be moved to 20-29 because regardless of the title, it's pretty much aimed at p2p 29's. We don't have access to the same spells as the 29's, can't get the same gear and can't use glyphs, so guides are a LOT closer to f2p than 29's. Outside of 2 guild looms and necks, we gear exactly the same as f2p's, the only real difference being access to better enchants. We're more f2p+ than p2p

Yeah, except for guild head loom, guild pants loom, neck loom, echants for neck, for rings, weapons......enchants in general, they are EXACTLY LIKE a f2p.

Next will come the 29s claiming that they have "only" more spells.......fucking broken logic.

I was planning on adding both a B2P and F2P section in my guide; whenever I end up updating it.

I would recommend that others should do the same thing.

a vet has to spend those 2k aswell as around 4.5 - 5k for cloak neck and ring enchanted aswell as somewhere between 100g and 2k for the rest of their gear depending on what enchants the want, and now toss in between 0g and 100k depending on how many BoEs they need.

Made 2 vets in 2 days without any gold. I had litterally zero costs. You might want to ad that this is for f2p->vet f2p without ever having a sub.

Anybody talking about veterans should post in the 20-29 section, not only does it just generally belong there more, u will find better answers there. ...Many. many f2ps have gone vet, but that doesnt mean u should use the f2p bracket to hold ur threads and guides..

Just skimmed the responses, but my 2 cents: As an author, i'm going to continue to post in the forum where i spend the most time and where I (not a reader) feel its appropriate - the question of 'most appropriate place' is subjective. I write guides because its of interest to ME. If others find them useful, they reply and the thread lives on. If a moderator strongly believes it should be moved, then its moved.

As long as there's separate forums with overlapping themes it'll be the writer's choice - and ALL our themes have some overlap.

Also, Many F2p's have never met the new definition of f2p, but that's not going to push me into a new forum because someone else doesn't agree with how i categorize myself. ...although admins merging the forums would push me. : o )

Veteran 19s can safely play any War Game map (regardless of BG or Arenas) without fear of leveling, that means vets have access to the complete competitive 19s game play options.
