Vanilla players tell Mists of Pandaria players about "Back in the day"

Back in my days we had to walk for forty levels, not just twenty as today, and epic riding skill was actually expensive.

Oh, and back in the day i used to actually pay to play (yes, real money and all).

I remember doing a solo suicide mission into LBRS to tame a worg that knew "bite - level 6". Took a couple of limited invisibility potions and feign deaths to get to the mobs in question. You needed a specifc patrol because all the others were linked to big mobs. I remember when feign death turned into real death if you didn't cancel it before it ran out.
I remember using CC on dungeon runs. I remember spamming trade lfg insert dungeon name. Getting 3 people and two of them would start the trek to the summoning stone while the third one spammed for more people.
I remember walking until level 47 on my 1st toon.
I remember making alot of people mad before I understood the difference between "need" and "greed". I think I was the original huntard.

I rolled a 30 warrior in the 21-30 bracket.

Back then, The Barren was a huge place, and there is only one graveyard.

You have to travel to thunderbluff to learn how to use gun
only orgrimmar have auction house.

I heard ALOT of info about Mankrik's wife location, but only one is true.
Barren chat.

getting hopelessly lost in wc, there were no dungeon map back then

Lock have to kill a green mob with drain soul to get one soulshard, and they are not stackable.
lock got a chance to literally kill you in a friendly duel due to dots not remove itself after the duel finish.
You have to complete lock chain quest to learn summon new demon.
you have to buy grimora tome and teach each of your lock pet new spell, per spel level.
Fear doesn't break on damage.
release inferno in lowbie area was fun to see.

Back then epics were actually epics, and not handed out to every noob at cap who entered a dungeon, let alone completed it.

Back then honor had some meaning and value, there was this "thing" called sportsmanship as well... before it was turned into a cheap currency to purchase welfare epics.

Back then cross realm bgs and dungeons were unheard of, and you had to manually gather people, which means you had to know them or get to know them... What I really liked about this is that you had to actually play responsibly, or no one would play with you in the future. What that meant is that you ether had to know what you were doing or be willing to learn, and you had to have a good attitude about the whole thing... The way the system is now, sure people find it more convenient, BUT a certain sense of community has been lost, and will likely never be replaced... In its place you have a contemptuous system that fausters the everyman-for-himself philosophy, which has lead to an influx of weak minded individuals who think the highest calling in the game is to inflict as much damage on the other players around them as possible.

thought of a few more silly things....

high level warlocks summoning infernals/doomguards in golshire and letting them wreak havoc and slaughter all the lowbies

another thing that always stayed with me was on my original pvp server, the 3 leading horde guilds organized a huge event on which they would kill all the flightmasters in the kalmidor and most in the eastern kingdoms. this went on for a week and a half and then GM's had to interfere lawl.

rip the days without town guards.. god that was a lame idea D:

Back when killing the dragon that's fighting dwarves on the flight path from SW to IF was a terrain hack not just flying.

Back when Retribution was "Retnoob" an Protection was "Reconbomb" Holy was the only viable pally spec

Back when you needed to hit Corporal or grunt to buy your pvp trinket.

Back when there was a rank restriction to get into world defense channel (6 maybe? knight stone guard?)

Back when warlocks were OP

Back before cross server PVP

Back before weightless pyreals.... oopps that's old Asheron's Call

Bob

Gadgetzhan on a PvP server. "HAI GUYS, I'M LIKE, LEVEL FOURTEH. GONNA QUEST!" -Walks out- -Raped by 30 level 60s for hours-

Back in my day, we had no fancy boats in Stormwind!

Back in my day, Goldshire wasn't satanic on RP servers!

Back in my day, PvP was still imbalanced! GG Blizz!

Back in my day, Mankrik's Wife was in Blackrock Mountain ("WHERE'S MANKRIK'S WIFE?" "BLACKROCK MOUNTAIN!" "HILLSBRAD!"

Back in my day Alterac Mountains was a zone!

Back in my day, Wingblade existed!

Back in my day, people claiming to own over 100 gold were probably liars or hackers or no lifes!

Back in my day, we all backpeddled.

Back in my day, rogues were so OP (-Cough- Killing geared level 60s, while naked only using ONE level 1 dagger. -Cough-)

Back in my day, Hogger was dangerous!

Mind controlling Gamon, and using his ability to knock high levels off their mounts, AFK people off the zeppelin tower, L1 gold seller bots into the fires around Org to die, or just out of the front gates so they couldn't talk in the city.

Playing a game that actually had game developers, instead of a group of paid modders who only do content patches for endgame raiders, while causing the rest of the game to go to shit.

Going into outland dungeons in BC, and expecting to die at least half a dozen times, and probably a dozen in Setthek Halls. When I was level 60 on the hunter I rolled for Cata, I was able to solo most of the packs in there. That's the reason I stopped all my subs.

Back in my day:

I had my friend give me about 80g for my 60% mount at level 40 after she had ran me through SM Armory countless times for the Ravager axe for my enhancement shaman (before dual wield) and half a set of the Scarlet Crusader mail.

The day shaman got duel wield. Rushed straight to the AH and bought the first two one-handers I could.

Back in Burning Crusade, I was brought to raids simply for my ability to kick on my rogue.

Back in my day I ran around in the Barrens and train pulled many mobs and let them aggro and kill people.

Back in my day I pulled Gamon all the way to the xroads.
