When we created Twinkinfo to move from Pwndepot, TI was successful because of the insane amount of content we were posting. TI used to be for twinks what WoWhead is now.
In 2010 when Daman or whatever his name was, was letting TI's license expire, Shane found the site and bought it. The site was about to run out of it's license and Daman was going to let it die then. Shane patched it and hosted the site to actually function for the past 5 years. If it were not for Shane, we all would have logged on one day to TI and seen that it was down and would not return up with absolutely 0 notice from the admin.
Xpoff is home to the most passionate players whom value content over banter and provide insight and accurate information as a collective community as a whole. It's a new site and may not have the amount of accounts that TI has, however consider daily activity and xpoff is surpassing TI in it's current state at the moment and this site has been around merely for 2 weeks.
TI may have 26k "accounts" but only a few thousand of those accounts have been active in the past year.
Xpoff has the information to get returning and newer players up to speed, the community to build upon subjects further together, and with the functionality of the arena latter / streaming section, the novelty to keep people interested in checking out the site. It is constantly improving and has a very proactive collection of staff members.
Ti is run by one man whom doesn't have the knowledge or resources to allow his website to develop or even run for that matter.
Just my opinions. The community will go where the content is. Bisnation became home of banter forums of just calling everyone maggots and punts. Twinking.net had a great amount of information for its time and the blog posts were some of the most informative blog posts the community has ever produced. Unfortunately when Ink and Drayner left twinking.net the remaining admin changed it to a 2hour long podcast site with callout banter forums and it died extremely abruptly.
