People over think this way to much...

Like most people have said. Get a member or possibly even two from each team and that will be your committee. Let the teams pick who they would like to represent them. Once your committee is set then let them discuss the rules that have been made and let them change what they think needs it.

I do find it shitty that <STARTER> does not have anyone up there, meaning how we are the only team that gets out full 10 man running every single weekend. Then <Skill Ratio> being on of the major players in this bracket as long as I can remember.

It's not to late to pull things out of this hole that has been dug. Just have faith twinks! :D

I think you're being overly dismissive there alleyboober, but that probably has something to do with your assumed/played age and "whipper-snapper" syndrome. What a lot of people want is a real, competitive tournament in the 19 bracket. With some of the more over-the-top grandfathered chants/items, especially when stacked in a team setting against a team with a lack thereof, the power gap is noticeable.

Especially in the current meta which favors 4 healers, no rogues, and just literally brute forcing the other team to death in mid till a GY contain and killing EFC at very high stacks, that kind of gear discrepancy *does* add up, and takes away from the competitive aspect that should be present in a real tournament setting -- something I'm fairly certain we're trying to achieve here.

I understand the idea lots of "old timey twinks" have, back in the day when twinking was about stacking the best of the best gear and rolling over ungeared, bad players just trying to level through and get some marks for blue gear.

I understand that time is over, and now it's much more competitive in the 19s bracket, with many of the old ridiculously stacked advantages taken away by blizzard and scaling.

Keeping all the noticeable gear discrepancies that are left in place would make the Cup more akin to the Westminster dog show -- unobtainable gear -- and discrepancies in general -- shouldn't be a deciding factor in a competitive tournament setting with a real prize on the line.

You don't see baseball games being won because one team gets to use non-regulation bats, or a boxing match where one boxer got to use his grandpappy's antique, plastered gloves.

Bring the playstyle, the players, the teamwork, and the individual skill. Let the equipment be regulated.

If we continue to pick people from each team, they will only want "rules" that will best suit them. Where as a neutral party will select "rules" that best suit everyone.

This is pretty off topic but I couldn't help but notice the nice xpoff intro in the beginning of the trailer video.

(talking about the first 5 seconds)

I've been talking to @Conq about such an intro clip for xpoff starting in this thread from post 7.
@Squidgy We've been looking for something short and neat like that to represent the site in videos. Would it be ok to jack that intro for use in other videos? :)
