Any exposure for XPoff.com and twlnking I am all for doing, as it grows our hobby. It is just a shame that XPoff.com has more or less turned in to another TI. I had such high hopes for it too.

How come ? A Forum will always have its bad parts, even in a Blizzard posts, people troll. There is no stopping them.

Is there gonna be like a studio where 2 guys gonna talk about how the 3 other guys used 4 of their spells in mind blowing sequence?

Not to be mean or anything, but I hope that video has a nice shot of some toxic sludge if it going to be representative of the 10-19 bracket. People really should know what they are getting into before coming on to TI/XPoff.com.
Maybe a shot of some barrels of toxic sludge with skulls & cross bones on them and "10-19" stamped all over it. With barbed/razor wire around the area and warning/keep out sign strewn about and some XPoff.com penants scatter around for good measure. That might give people a good mind's eye visual.
The toxicity and drama never really bothered me. In fact in my bracket (70) the activity seems to be higher whenever there is drama going on lol. But I guess it'd be pretty nice if that wasn't the case, I just don't necessarily mind that much.

Yeah that's my main reason for wanting the intro clip aside from it looking sick. :)

Ill try talk Conq or whoever might have that intro and push something through so you can get your hands on the intro hopefully^_^

You can see in the original post that some guilds has been invited to participate, yet he asks that they sign up regardless.
The invited teams need to "sign up" so we can see their rosters, their team leaders and their team representatives. It may seem contradictory to the invite we have given the teams but the information that a sign up gives is vital information for us to have :)

I don't understand the point of invitations, anyone can sign up right?

Invitations means that you are guaranteed to join the TC tournament on the week of 24th-26th of June, with a squad under the name of the that was invited. You have to "Sign up"(It's not really a sign up) just so we have the information regarding who is part of your 13 man roster, who's the representative (if you have one) and who is the Team Leader and their RealID.

People signing up for the Qualifier do so to get into the Qualifiers for the 2 remaining Wild Card spots, that will take place a week ahead, on the 18th-19th (depending on how many teams, probably just 1 day). Winning that qualifier, puts you in the TC tournament the next week - the tournament that 'Invited teams' are already in.

Hope this helped clearing up your confusion!

This is pretty off topic but I couldn't help but notice the nice xpoff intro in the beginning of the trailer video.

(talking about the first 5 seconds)

I've been talking to @Conq about such an intro clip for xpoff starting in this thread from post 7.
@Squidgy We've been looking for something short and neat like that to represent the site in videos. Would it be ok to jack that intro for use in other videos? :)

Absolutely, I'll upload that part as an .avi somewhere and link it later tonight.

"Invited" team are guaranteed spots. Whereas, if a team simply just comes “out of the blue” they will have to first get through the qualifying rounds in order to play in the official tournament.

However, ALL teams still have to “sign up”. This includes both “invited” and walk-up teams.

I presume this is correct @lindenkron ?

Yes, as stated above. It's to ensure we get the right amount of teams (as most other tournaments) and still allow anyone to have a chance at participating in the Twink Cup (Wild Card spots/Qualifiers).

I would imagine the issue with that would be that the "tournament" would end up spanning 2-3 weekends then. Do we really want/need that kind of headache?
Maybe we should start "qualifiers" the first weekend in June then. If so, we are starting to get a little late for that.
See what I mean about planning...
Well if the actual TC can be done with 8 teams in one weekend. Then it shouldn't be a problem to host the qualifiers over 1 weekend.

No, because there aren't going to be that many teams fighting to qualify. The community isn't /that/ large that more than a few 10-13 man teams will surface. The invited teams are all basically a known quantity, having already proven themselves as twinks and contenders in war games etc.

It's not an out-of-the-ordinary system. There won't be "too many teams" at this rate. I would recommend opening a 3rd wildcard slot if SR sticks to their strong arm campaign though, to even seeding numbers.

@Blackout @Conq @lindenkron Why "MUST" warriors use Reforged Truesilver Champion YET other Melee classes (or dual wield classes) arent getting the same retrictions? and why do other melee classes get access to the plethora of weapons out there?
