The best PS2 & Original Xbox games.

    • I am considering purchasing both of these consoles for my entertainment center and I am curious as to which games I should add to my collection. This is a brief list of games that I have conjured up off of memory. What am I missing? What do you recommend?

    As of now, I currently have:

    PlayStation 2:
    - Time splitter's (all in series)
    - Red dead: revolver
    - Gauntlet
    - Bully
    - Spiderman (all in series)
    - Mortal Kombat (all in series)
    - Kingdom Hearts II (I never played this one, but it seems interesting)
    - Dr Muto
    - Grand Theft Auto (All in series)
    - Ratchet & clank (All in series)
    - Sly Cooper (All in series)

    Xbox:
    - Spy vs. Spy
    - Voodoo Vince
    - Fable
    - Morrowind
    - Star wars: Knights of the old republic
    - Simpsons: Hit & run
    - Half Life 2
    - Gun

    Any and all suggestions will be searched up and considered!

    I was actually considering psychonauts. I believe I read somewhere that a new game in the series is coming out?

    but yeah, no halo: the first one in the series that I played was 3. I might consider giving 2 a try. And I totally forgot about destroy all humans! That and battlefront I’ll definitely have to pick up

    Shadow of the colossus is apparently deemed the best PS2 game of all time. I'll deff check it out

    It's pretty amazing, it has been remade for ps4 with enhanced gfx. Also, if you love a challenge Ninja Gaiden Black for xbox.
     
    props for mentioning shadow of the colossus, but you might as well bring up ico too, it's predecessor.
    okami, a gorgeous game that utilized "paint strokes" to cast spells.
    god hand a beat-em-up with a really good combo system.
    silent hill 2 was the best in the series of this survival horror franchise.
    metal gear solid 2: sons of liberty, first installment (for the ps2) of an iconic game series for the sony catalog.
    metal gear solid 3: snake eater, just an all-around fucking boss game.

    then there's the huge library of jrpgs...

    p.s.: play morrowind on pc, not xbox. XD

    parappa the rappa, resident evil 4, true crime fight for nyc, some of the og tony hawk games like underground and pro skater, mortal kombat armageddon, jak 2+3, crash bandicoot wrath of cortex, i could go on for ages ps2 was sick
