EU+US State of the Twink Cup

Just to clarify, nobody said anything about excluding 20's. I personally supported moving it to the 20-29 bracket. 20's are welcome to play. Excluding anyone who wants to play a different level in that bracket is what's absurd.
The f2p community can't organize themselves to get off the couch and earn $12 a month (or far less for the Brazilians). Deciding that they're going to organize teams if and only if we say f you to real twinks is a recipe for failure.
 
ok just skip over what i was saying completely, again.

making twink cup f2p based brings a huge amount more availability to the event, literally anyone in the world can create an account and get involved

forcing them to buy starter edition and then possibly a recurring sub to stay up to date at 29s is going to be a deal breaker for a hell of a lot of people

if they take your idea of including 20s in a 20-29 twink cup that would only encourage teams to not include 20s anyway due to spells and ilvl and a number of factors of why they'd want everyone at 29

it's just ridiculous, and if you're as skilled and have a brain like your ego comes off like, you'd already know this.
 
@MYT I can tell from your posts that you are clearly delusional so no point in arguing with you. I must say though it's been awhile since I've seen anyone try the whole "too poor" excuse. Kudos for going back about 3 xpacs in creativity.

19s are a community that can't field a tourney and can't even get 10v10 games going. You want to hold a tourney? How about holding it in the most active biggest low level community there is. Obviously with only 2ish weeks to go this won't happen this year but to anyone with common sense should have seen this was the best case scenario months ago to get a successful TC.

The fact that 20's need to argue they can't compete with 29's in the most even environment they've ever had says it all. You wouldn't like their rules - you might have to actual play a class that requires skill.

I've been a past contributor to cups and while I didn't contribute this year due to some shady people that effectively banned me from plebs awhile back, I certainly won't ever contribute so 20 trash can exclude others while playing for free and making demands. Deal with others in the bracket or stfu is my position, cheap ass.

nah its just i've stopped having fun on these forums because its pissing me off that plebmades ended, now tc has ended and conq is personally blaming me and the way i act as an example of the toxicity that 'caused new guilds to not want to join'

effectively saying i'm personally responsible for everything ending or my behaviour is influencing others into being toxic

i'm just having fun on forums, making people laugh. yes i make comments and clips of peoples plays and reactions but its nothing serious, nobody is personally under attack, harmless camaraderie to help people stop being so serious in plebs by showing them how foolish they are when they take it too seriously.

so now i'm just proving to everyone that this shitshow that is twink cup is more conq's fault than toxic players fault

1. He sent the new guilds he had contact with into plebmades knowing the toxic environment it is and they stopped playing competitively and lost contact with conq

although I never saw them participate, nor do I agree that's toxic players fault, plebmades are frustrating, you spend 1-2hours setting it up just to be thrown in with people you dont know, you dont know their skill levels, you'll always have older twinks expecting smooth gameplay and being annoyed when sitting for 2 hours waiting for a game just to have someone you have no idea who it is throw the game 5 minutes in.

2. He had no faith in Twink Cup happening this year before it was even announced, how is your heart and passion going to be in a project you're involved with when you don't believe it'll even happen at all before you even start working on it?



3. He claims to be active in the bracket connecting with guilds and potential participants of twink cup, He claims to be welcoming and inclusive and friendly. Wants to give no reason to scare people away


Tell me what you'd think of his tone, manner and all around boredom while talking about your team.

because to me, it's absolutely disgusting how he talks about this team as if they're nothing but shit on his shoe just because he doesnt know them.

4. Overwatch, he wants to play it, he wants to run esports on it, he wants overhyped game $$$$
not much more to say except he doesn't want twink events to take up his busy schedule of jumping ship for the fps $$$$

also no one banned you from premades or anything like that. you're delusional

@Conq just schedule a "winter twink cup" for 20s. I really dont think the competition is going to be as good as 19s was but id rather see some sort of competitive activity than none
 
I wanted to join the twink cup I signed up and I got no word back. Then I'm like frak it I'm going to make my own team. I have enough players that would have joined too, there are plenty out there. Anyways I find out I can't do it because of the days and times its scheduled. At any rate, for ducks sake, I'm kinda sick of everyone saying 19s are dead. If there was more AWARENESS to the Cup. I GUARANTEE you , there would be more participation. Now, all of you who say its done, its over with, you really need to leave the f'n bracket then. Stop talking like your the chit, or have been the chit. Step up and help the community instead of trying to tear it down.

We are pretty much stuck here ...the 19 vets see no competition...the new 19's have no balls to participate = No Numbers.
Also give Conq some slack....People only remember the times when things go down but dont remember the last few years of TC...I think making a TC lvl 20 would prob be a good idea as the numbers will rise...as lild said its FREE and anyone can make an account..also since gear doesnt mean nothing makes it so much easier.

That simply isn't true that my team got stomped in every single premade. As far as my skills I'd beat the sh!t out of you in any bracket. But that isn't saying much.

Don't need some kid that calls him mom for permission to use the restroom's validation. Go call her for more money or whatever it is you do when not sucking at wow.
 
The people blaming conq are idiots. I don't agree with everything he supports by any means but he's worked hard to step up and help coordinate things when nobody else did. As someone who frequently steps up in all sorts of endeavors and does what needs to be done, I certainly appreciate it. Doesn't mean people shouldn't sound off their opinion on how to make it better.

Here's a suggestion - let the teams be 5 man and play with 5 puggers. Would be horrible but no worse than the level of play amongst the 20's.

You've stomped me? Don't recall you ever stepping up to duel and you know better than to step in arena. Are you perhaps referring to early games of a team I tried to build losing practice matches you may have been part of as stomping me?
One of the ironies of this forum is the people that scream delusional are projecting. Your life is a delusion - you're physically an adult but a mental child, incapable of realizing that a new team put together with people that have ever played together before needs practice to pull it together. And it got pulled together fine. I'm not going to relitigate a team falling apart because I had to return to my job after a medical leave with a mental child who has a flawed memory.

yeah your team that you said was mostly made up of your best players from the old days and told the whole forums you were going to win twink cup then lost every single game you played because you couldn't adapt to the gameplay. your team falling apart was out of your hands and not something I brought up because it was a personal irl thing and this isnt about that

also ill bring a 10 man to play yours just about any day as long as theres enough notice
 
A) the team wasn't made up of old MYT players and I never claimed that. Yes I intended to win. Why else would you play? I did invite all other old schoolers.
B) didn't even come close to losing all the premades. Definitely won more than half the practice games. Probably lost first 8-10 times though which with a group of players that haven't played together before isn't unusual. We adapted eventually just fine.
 
Let it die, let cata live, or play 29s because they actually have spells to press, 19s be dead and will stay that way for atleast 1-2 years
