Is honor obtainable at low levels?

Short answer is we don't know yet. There hasn't been enough testing to determine if low(er) Levels will be able to gain Honor by killing much higher Level Characters.

If you look at the stats on the PVP gear though, it appears like it is scaling correctly, only the ilvl seems to be really screwed up.

Yep, also epic riding starts at 20 but if you are 40-44 right now you are keeping it on PTR.

Hi, all. Any recent developments on this? I still have 8 pages to read.

Is it certain that a current level 39 will not be at the top of the bracket for SL? (If such a bracket realistically exists for SL)

Dunno if they'll still work, but a handful of spell tomes, mainly vanity polymorphs are currently usable at 25 and continue to require level 25 on PTR wowhead. i.e. they'll be gfd for 20s tomorrow if the spell they teach is still usable

Well @zazzyfraz posted a screenshot of honor weapon equipped on level 10, so I assumed it’s bought with honor points

No barrier to entry but make sure you level to 40 now to get 100% mount speed as its reportedly grandfathered on Tues/Weds.

The tiny bit of testing that has been done was only with a few Character levels and they didn't receive Honor, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

ok, i've looked at a couple of the trinkets in SL ptr. the ones in Legion dungeons that dropped had been nerfed but they're still op when looking at them.

I haven't touched my retail 70s since like... late Cata? Am I SoL? I don't think I had much gear on most of them. Is it even worth trying to gear up some of my 70s for PvP or am I totally boned when it comes to Grandfathered items/profs? It looks like 90% of the OP shit is just GF'd. Might just stick to Classic I guess. Feels bad man, ten 70 twinks down the drain :/

Quick note before bed; no Chromie for f2p, no instances, but all expacs available from the boards, and gold limit has gone up (dunno how much - I have collected 35 on a new toon).

The "only" (and it's a big only) thing you really missed was getting gems from heroic dungeons. If/when Blizzard fixes the scaling on those gems, then the stats from missing out on some of the grandfathered gear amounts to less than a consumable at 27, and even less than that at 29.
