EU+US Rogue BiS Daggers

Manafade

Grandfathered
Since I haven't seen anyone mention these, Ill make a quick guide on how to get them, just in case you don't know how.
If you get tired of Outlaw spec, or it gets nerfed, I recommend getting these daggers for Assassination or Subtlety specs.
Main Hand: "Jagged Wing Slasher" Speed: 2.6
Source: A HORDE ONLY quest titled "Securing the Lines" available on the road from Razor Hill to ORG.
Off Hand: "Ranger's Notched Dirk" Speed: 2.5
Source: A HORDE ONLY quest titled "The Ring of Mmmrrrggglll" available in Eversong Woods.
Why are these daggers so good for PVP instances? The only reason is their slow speeds. My mutilate damage went from 475 with BoA daggers, to 600 with these daggers in PVP.
These items can be found on Wowhead but they do not have sources yet, so I thought I would post this.
This is my first ever post on the site, I am a new member, and I won't insert Wowhead links, because it says I need to have 2 posts first.
I hope this helps rogues looking to expand their spec options!
I also hope all my paragraph breaks aren't deleted. I hate walls of text.

good work i was wondering how to get those little rascals

Great first post welcome and thanks for the info

Assassination:
Rusty Sin'Dorei Stiletto (speed 2.5) reward from: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=8480 (Horde)

Outlaw:
Sunstrider Axe (speed 3.5) reward from: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=8334 (Horde)
Brushwood Blade (speed 3.0) reward from: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=2561 (Alliance)
I'm not sure why you mentioned the Stiletto, It is worse than the wing slasher, equal to the ranger's dirk, but it's also main hand.
The sunstrider axe is GF'd.
Testing with the Brushwood did occur but needs to be retested in a battleground on live.

you can get axe if u ask a gm to swap rewards

I didnt know you could do that, however I recently chose the wrong quest reward trying to gear my ret paladin, and I asked a GM to change my reward, but he gave me a hard no, he said that GM's cannot help with that unless the item you chose is unwearable my your class.

it's a white item, you can say you got the staff a long time ago. They can't check, :)

Wait a minute. So essentially, you want to mingle with weapon speeds instead of going for the dmg of the weapon itself, as well as its ilvl? Like that don't matter when it comes to weapons, or?

Its hard to tell exactly given the information available in game, but it appears that weapon speed is NOT normalized for weapons. It doesn't matter what rarity it is or what stats are present - those are all scaled up to 24. Attack speed seems to be the same, and the assumption is that dps is normalized (all weapons of a certain type will have the same dps, regardless of speed) - which means that slower weapons will have higher damage to get the same dps as a faster weapon. Initial reports are that this is true - but we're really not 100% sure how much.

Right now it looks as if slow weapons are going to be pretty good for any class with weapon damage based skills. So the search is on for daggers that are slower than 1.8 and 1h weapons slower than 2.8 and 2h weapons slower than 3.8 (which are the benchmarks provided by heirlooms). Since blizz is hiding a lot of internal stuff from the char screen right now, we're not sure if it is better to have a slow weapon that scales to ilvl 24, or a faster weapon that is above ilvl 24, such as the 27 blues that drop from dungeon crates.

It also looks as if wands are glitched. They seem to be giving A LOT of stats when paired with a stratholme lily. Any class that can use a wand should use it. Any class that can use a 1h/offhand should use it.

The Deja Character Stats Addon (not Linking to Curse) helps, but still doesn't give everything.

Interesting. About the wand thing. Is that just because "wands", or is it simply because you will be able to have stratholme lily offhand? Currently, I am running a sword mainhand and stratholme lily offhand on my mage. Would it change anything if I got a wand instead?
