Ah, my thought process was that because he wants to open it using alternate methods, he isn't a rogue and so wouldn't want the daggers.

From what ive read it sounds like it no longer drops from the rare, but is contained in Battered Junkbox - Item - World of Warcraft with one supposedly being looted as recently as this year, so i dont believe its GF'd. Sounds super rare though. Which is fine, i was looking for a new time sink.

Yep, no longer drops from its rare alike BvB and now only drops in lockboxes.

Does the disgusting oozling pet drops in wetlands? I"ve checked wowhead it says thres 1% chance a bag will drop.
