Integrated graphics cards will make your CPU(/GPU) reach higher temperatures, but you can simply cap your FPS and use low graphical-settings to prevent overheating.
Pretty much any standalone-GPU will be better than an integrated one as long as it isn't VERY old. Any GPU you still find on the market should be better.
Most pre-built PCs (not laptops) come with standalone-GPUs, and I highly recommend getting one of those instead of one with an integrated-GPU if you're going to be playing video-games on it. The games will run smoother, have fewer errors/crashes, and the graphics will look better.
