Purj's PTR Enchant Findings

If the patch turns out to be just like it says in the note now, which is very unlikely.

This is like people discussing the viability of monks a year before MoP even got released. We'll have to wait and see.
Yeah I thought so, If this happens I guess SF could still be Agility BiS since no other weapon enchants will go over 15 agility from what it looks like now.

Well it looks like i need to move my 19 rogue/ 19 priest over to my main enchanter's realm... i need to go hunting for mongoose now >:)

Any one want to check soul frost / sunfire they give +54 spell damage @ 35 so they would scale down slightly for a 19.

Why does that guide also include profession specific items? Like is it possible to put the LW specific one on the BOA legs then mail to 19?

My guide does not include any profession specific enhancements (like Tazik's or LW bracer enchant). When I was on the PTR I tried the tailoring leg spellthread (the one that tailors can do for their own legs at a much cheaper cost) as well as the cloak embroidery.

Both of them require 550 tailoring to use, so they were not working on my 29. The leg spellthread isn't a big deal because it's identical stats to the ones other players can use. BTW, pretty sure BC leg armors/threads are going to be BiS.

Gnomish X-Ray Scope – Attack power by 300 on proc.

real?

For now, yes. I just talked to a GM and asked if Blizzard was planning on doing any balance passes on the enchantment scaling, he wasn't sure but guessed they probably will. They are aware of the enchanting bug preventing enchants from giving benefit, so I am sure the numbers are on their radar too.

The point they scale is weird. It's not like BoA scaling where you get values based on character level. Instead, Vanilla enchants are not scaled at all. BC+ enchants are scaled down for players below 61. Soulfrost gives 40 frost or shadow power. Sunfire gives 38 fire or arcane power.

This value applies to all characters between level 1 and 61. A 19 gets 40 frost and shadow power, and so does a 59.

No mongoose proc is shit. Use elemental force it is so OP. Mut with ele force is bis.

Sorry, but Elemental Force is subject to direct nerf from resil. Sure, it's 112 dmg on proc, but with 40% reduction (or 65% if they go that route) it's significantly less. Mongoose is and will be the best dmg enchant for a rogue.

I was getting 160 procs on another 19 bro. It procs for 70s non crit.

I'm sorry if its been answered multiple times, can we confirm or deny that these enchants can be applied through the trade window? Do I need to level up a character on BH?

Didn't see anyone mention this, but this could change double SF back to being BiS, as weapon chains are considered enchants and will most likely scale down the 40 hit rating gained from Pyrium.

If you apply the weapon chain it bound to you the SF no ?

If this update comes through I might consider coming back. This will bring a lot of variety to the bracket, I could easily see 4-5k health flag carriers making the games much more competitive.

i found this chart showing the enchants scaled down http://goo.gl/YfnWs

Previously, you couldn't even enchant a Shadowfang with a chain, this patch you should be able to but the hit rating should scale down. No more hardcapping hit :p

So now it's possible to put a weapon chain without binding it to the char you have the SF on ?
